OFFICIAL Pomona 2016 Decisions

Generally around March 25th.

This year’s date is April 5. That said, Pomona has tried in the past to get the decisions out sooner so that admits can attend regional receptions held in early April.

Good luck to all RDers!

How do applicants get notified of their results? On MyPomona, I suppose? Do all the results come out at the same time?

Old fashioned snail mail. The ED2 letters this year were postmarked February 9th for an official decision date of February 15th, so I would expect things a bit sooner than April 5th.

Acceptances are sent priority mail in large white envelopes.

Oh great, I’m an international applicant from Asia so I’ll probably be one of the last ones to receive the decision ._.

If I remember correctly, they will email international applicants around the same time as everyone else receives theirs, so that there isn’t that issue.

Good luck, hope to see you next fall!

Exactly! International applicants receive an e-mail around the time that US applicants receive the envelopes. A paper notification is also sent.

Thanks, it’s great that I won’t have to wait another 2 weeks after US applicants start posting their decisions here on CC ;p

So has anyone heard from admissions exactly when we can expect this? I know a bunch of schools are coming out early before April…

Based on last year’s thread (http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/pomona-college/1102472-pomona-college-rd-2015-a-6.html</a>), people started receiving them around the 25th and 26th.

The Admissions Office just posted on their Facebook page that they mailed out decisions today. So should receive decisions within the week

Good Luck everyone!!!

Wow! Should we start a new thread for RD, or not?

Good luck, everyone! I already got my decision and yet I’m nervous for some reason haha.

Im so surprised they got sent already. That’s pretty much a week before expected!! Thanks @cahsparent for the links. I was a deterred EDII applicant and I was not very hopeful. After reading [Ringing the Bell: Pomona College Sends Admit Letters For the Class of 2016 - Pomona College](http://www.pomona.edu/news/2012/03/20-admit-letters.aspx) Im even less hopeful which is acctually kind of nice because if i get rejected it wont seem so bad, even though Pomona is my first choice. But if I get in it will feel all that much better!! Here is to hoping for a “bigger” envelope :)

Wow - odds are so long. Good luck to everyone.

Wooooooo! So excited and nervous!

Do we get an email notification as well? Can’t wait for snail mail…

If you’re an international applicant, you should get an email sometime before receiving the physical letter.

Good luck to everyone! One of my friends who applied is going backpacking with me this weekend; I’m sure the anticipation will be awful.
