***Official Pomona Class of 2019 ED2 Thread****

Pomona Class of 2019 here I come.

I’m applying EDII to Pomona as well. I was deferred from Amherst, so I hope I get accepted :D.

Also applying EDII to Pomona! It’s my top choice now and really hope I get accepted best of luck to everyone else too!!!

I’m applying there EDII as well! I was deferred from Dartmouth ;)

Not sure but I think I will. Rejected from CMC

I was deferred at Northwestern myself; therefore, EDII Pomona is now an option

Does anyone know whether the ED2 applicant pool is weaker than ED1?

I had this question myself.

Well, since only 100-150 kids apply EDII, one may presume.

@hugzUC‌ where did you get that number from? Do you have a link?

Did anyone see that the Pomona College Office of Admissions is doing a “countdown” for the ED2 and RD deadlines. It’s kinda funny that it also coincides with the countdown to New Years. Well played Pomona, well played. <a href=“Pomona College Office of Admissions”>https://www.facebook.com/PomonaAdmissions</a> =D>

I’m debating whether to EDII at Pomona. Can anyone tell me the pros and cons of Pomona (besides that it’s small and has great food and professors)?

Also applying EDII. Was rejected from CMC earlier this month so I’m really hoping to get in!

Less than 4 days until application deadline! I’m putting some finishing touches on my essay fingers crossed What did y’all pick for your Pomona supplement? Critical Inquiry or freedom essay?

@stilchs4 I do not have a link. It was just an estimate.

@nanajojo15 I chose critical inquiry. I did not really describe why chose it, but I like to view the prompts as guidelines not rubrics. I titled it “IMPROVe Your Life: Applying a Philosophy” and its about applying improv rules to life.

^That sounds really cool!! I went with the freedom prompt.

@hugzUC‌ haha that sounds cool! I did the Critical Inquiry too, entitled “Sex, Deception, and Trickery: Power Dynamics of Women” It’s about the relationship between women and their social power throughout the ages :)

Is it supposed to be one paragraph, or a whole syllabus?

I’m just doing mine now but I’ve heard most people do an abbreviated syllabus, just the course description and then why they chose it

Hope everyone got their applications in!!! Now it’s just up the Admissions Office  Best of luck to everyone!
