Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: I actually don’t know how I got accepted Pomona was my reach school! Wasn’t counting on getting in and now I’m making a decision between Pomona and Amherst.

Do you know how Pomona reaches international students and if they send out the letters ahead of time? All my other schools have been notifying me through email so I’m really worried about waiting for a decision letter when snail mail to Bangkok can take anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks.

Congratulations to the newly admitted! Balleranddancer, I’m so glad to see you were rewarded for your patience and enthusiasm after that deferral!

quick question, i got waitlisted:

I read some things that you can basically make yourself a more “eligible” waitlister.
what do these things include?

I never got a chance to have an on campus interview for Pomona, you think that this would be a way to start?

thanks guys!

i haven’t heard from them…

Thanks for the support Fauxnom! Can’t wait to meet your daughter! :)

hereosol -

If Pomona is your #1 choice, it’s important to let the Admissions Office know that. Also, if there are any updates, e.g., awards, other recognitions, that occur, let the AO know as well. I would recommend minimizing contact, so combining a number of things into one contact would be best. Most admissions offices are more likely to admit waitlisted students who will matriculate than not.

Good luck!

yay balleranddancer you got in!!!
