All the best peeps! :)

After loving Stanford and MIT I’m too afraid to get attached to a school. It’s not good.

@PhotoMac — I understand what you mean, it’s happened to me twice, and even I was attached to MIT. But heck, I still have great options open as well, so it’s not over yet :)

Hey y’all! Pretty new here, but I’ve been lurking for a bit. I thought I’d join in on the anxiety-fueled fun! I’m ready for a rejection, but in the back of my mind there is dim hope.
Best of luck to everyone!

@murtaza101 Yeah, I guess I really do have some pretty good options open still, and hopefully another one or two to be confirmed in a week. That will quell the anxiety for a few days, hopefully.

Anybody know why the ivy schools all release decisions at the same time?

^Because they are better than everyone else.

I’m very scared, after being waitlisted at UChicago and WUSTL within a week. It’s depressing as hell.

i don’t want to wait any longer! i wish we could just find out everything now :/

I’m with everyone else on here – I just want to know already! Truthfully, I think Princeton has lost the #1 spot on my list (to a school to which I’ve already been accepted, too – but I’m going to that school [Georgetown]'s open house later this week so that should help with my decision) but I still absolutely can’t wait for Princeton results. And seeing as my other school gave me no money, Princeton may get the check if it yields plentifully.

It’s just so nerve-wrecking… it’s deciding my fate here… either I go abroad, or I stay in my country and be bound here for life.
I’m already rejected by 3 schools (NYUAD, MIT, CalTech) so the wait is really killing me, but I’m trying my level-best to hold on to myself.

I’m hoping even though I’m hopeless, if that makes sense. It probably isn’t good for my sanity.

And I realized something interesting… since they’re released 5 EST, that means they’re available at 2 PST which means I’ll be sitting in class when they’re out! I don’t want to check at school in case they’re all bad, but waiting and not knowing is going to be torture.

I’m sorry, but I found it hilarious how poorly structured this sentence was.

In my location, it’ll be 1am when decisions are released, so I’ll be just damn anxious and doing nothing I guess. And I think decisions come out at 5pm EDT rather than EST. (they’re accounting for daylight I guess).

I guess they put that because it’s Daylight Savings Time right now? Do not all states have Daylight Savings Time or something? Perhaps that’s more to help international applicants figure out the time… idk though. For me it’ll still be out at 2 because EST and EDT are the same time difference.

It is 5PM EDT. Many people have said EST by accident.

All of the Ivy websites say 5PM EDT.

xoxo
Good luck, guys and girls!
