It went really well! He was actually a couple minutes late, I was worried I didn’t have the right day/time. (Was it at 2 o clock or 3 ? ) It was an hour and a half, so that was good. No tough questions, we just talked about me being homeschooled, my ‘children’ (He asked what my most important EC was- I told him that they’re like children; I love them all equally) All in all, it was good. He’d say he’d recommend me, but don’t they always say that? ;)

^ Not the same day, I hope! That would be awkward: “I hate to cut my Princeton interview short, but I have to get to my Yale interview!” lol, anyway, good luck with them!

haha nice, congrats on a successful interview butternut - ya they must all say that -_- my guy went as far as to say he thinks i would get accepted … zz but what does he know? lol

Bumping, because I refuse to let this thread die…Oh, my interviewer also told me how many kids applied/got in last year from my state. The acceptance rate is over twice the national one. Yay for geographical diversity!

Though I’m now even more worried. My alumnus is a CEO who’s gone to Harvard Undergrad and Princeton Grad!

D: Amazing smartness emitting from the e-mail. But yeah, since I’m applying to both schools, I can ask him about both schools and which one he liked better and stuff :D

^ I wouldn’t do that. Mentioning not only that you applied to a rival school, but also that you’re seriously considering said school seems dumb to me in a PRINCETON interview.

Hey in reference to Hookem, I don’t think it’s a dumb idea necessarily. It probably would be ADVISABLE to not mention Harvard, but avoiding Harvard like it’s a deathtrap for admission could insult the guy who’s interviewing – after all, he DID choose Harvard for undergrad…

Anyhow, I really don’t think it’s a bad idea. Bringing Harvard and Princeton in review would be a nice topic imo, and he can tell me all the reasons why I should go to Princeton over Harvard if it comes to that for undergrad. I mean, I’m not gonna make this topic the bulk of my interview, but I’d like to touch on it for a few mins or so if i can.
