Official Princeton ED Decision Random Tangent Thread - Class of 2011

screams at other CCers to stop bothering her so she can finish her calc hw, and declares that she really should win the procrastinating award

mouth drops in shock that there are only 2 more weeks until decisions are out!
and proclaims victory in the procrastination game--gives others pat on the back for trying

collapses after finishing an online marine bio test
"Pass the popcorn!"

stares at paint dry......

collapses under the stress of waiting for the freakin email from questbridge.....

knows how Ernie feels and pats him on the shoulder as a support gesture

revives Ernie with smelling salts Don't die! and good luck!

Hey Ernie, what time is it there?

Israel is 7 hours ahead of us.

I second this... good luck, everyone. :)

what % ED apps are deferred?

Hmmmm....I dunno.

On a different note: Good luck Questbridge applicants!!!!!

Now that that is done,

goes to make his own popcorn because kraor wouldn't be nice and share

robbyg, i dont know the exact %, but its pretty high...i'd say around 40% deferred

I don't really understand what deferral means. It's not like being wait-listed, right? Is there any statistic for how many deferred ED applicants are accepted RD round?

I think for Princeton, it is either a tiny bit higher the regular rate, or the same as the regular rate, only because ED shows a certain committment that carries some weight even in the regular round. Other schools with SCEA have much lower RD rates for deferred candidates, or simply choose to defer fewer people (such as Stanford, I think).

So if you get deferred, you still have a shot!

thought I'd bump this since we're getting closer to the decisions...

I thought we said we will just put ALL our rants and anxiety on the REAL decisions thread....! oh well

Guys, please don't use the decision thread for anything right now until decisions start coming out!

yes, i agree with jon314.

RANTING and ANXIETY related stuff, along with CONGRATULATIONS/CONDOLENCES stuff start AFTER at least 1 DECISION is posted.
