Official Princeton ED Decisions - Class of 2010

Has anyone figured out what proportion of deferred students are later accepted?

the deferral admission rate for the previous application season was 14%

how many applicants did they accept for ED this year?

I do not know, but they usually fill half (49% I think) of their incoming freshman class with the ED applicants.

IGotintoPrincetonBiotch...See you said you got in because of ECs....no, you are both a URM and A legacy....that is why you got in

General Comments/Congratulations/Venting/Commiserations,etc: I was just glad to know....my letter is still missing....Now I can go ahead with my other apps.

I think it's kind of rude to claim that legacies are the main purpose behind someone's acceptance. People are not accepted based entirely on legacy. I know plenty of legacy kids who got deferred. I'm not going to lie and say it might not help, but it never means an automatic acceptance letter. ECs are definitely crucial.

how does one post with this html preferred format?

have real awesome grades and tried real hard. I'm fifth generation legacy so i didn't really have to do much in high school and i'm going out to get drunk tonight. I got 590 writing 540 math and 610 verbal. plus i had a 2.5 GPA since 9th grade. so keep your noses in the books guys, i'll probably be the guy you're not cool enough to hang out with next fall, peace.

My gosh, so many deferrals. At least I'm not alone. Even at my own school out of the 5 kids (including me) who applied to Pton we all got deferred. Even a recruited athlete. And they accepted 4 ED apps to Pton last year from my school? And 2 were recruited athletes. Man, have things gone sour... Well, at least there still is Cornell...
