As the one who started this thread, I gotta be brave enough to post me stats as a rejectee. Hope this inspires other rejectees out there to post and not be afraid!

Decision:Rejected

Stats:[ul]
[] SAT: 670 CR, 690 M, 700 WR (10 Essay)
[] SAT IIs: 750 IC, 690 Physics, 680 IIC (yuck)
[] GPA: 4.1 W, 3.85 UW
[] Rank: N/A
[] Other stats: APs - Physics B (5), Calc AB 4, Lit 4, Stats 4
[/ul]Subjective:[ul]
[] Essays: Decent, about my love for literature. Connected it with how stargazing for one particular assignment changed my view of understanding and writing. Another one on determination and how my XC coach helped me strive for it (kinda trite, yeah)
[] Teacher Recs: Good
[] Counselor Rec: Good
[] Hook (if any): None that I know of
[/ul]Location/Person:[ul]
[] State or Country: Graduated from Korea last year, but am applying from Norway in my gap year
[] School Type: Private
[] Ethnicity: Indian, Norwegian Citizen
[li] Gender: Male[/li][/ul]Other Factors **: I applied last year RD and got rejected. Transferred 3 schools in my three years in high school (graduated early). 2 people from the school I graduated from applied ED this year. One is a going-to-be valedictorian. Princeton's decision came as a shock to me considering I put a lot of effort into my app this time round, am in the process of patenting a device that I described in my app, and am doing a great internship with a polsci prof in a university. Also am taking 2 AP courses online in my gap year. Getting in was far-fetched but I expected a deferral considering all of this and the fact that I know 4 distinct languages.
**General Comments: EXTREMELY disheartened and upset

Once again, BIG congrats from me to all of you who got in. You really deserve it! To all those deferred - good luck RD round. At least you have another chance. To those rejected (I dont see any out there apart from myself at the moment...) its disappointing, but its not the end of the world. You just need the drive to succeed :)

** Stats:[ul]
[] SAT: 2110 (M: 720/CR: 700/Wr: 690) - one sitting
[] SAT IIs: 800 - Physics, 800 - Math IIC, 770 - Math IC, 770 - Chemistry, 750 - Biology M
[] GPA: 5.3/6.0 on a weird scale
[] Rank: 1/88
[] Other stats: -
[/ul]Subjective:[ul]
[] Essays: I didn't like them but maybe I'm fussy, people said they were original
[] Teacher Recs: good, but not excellent, a bit too short (Polish teachers aren't accustomed to them, you see...)
[] Counselor Rec: great!
[] Hook (if any): I don't really know if it's a hook: I've been learning English for 4 years. And I used to practise fencing and could retake it at Princeton.
[/ul]Location/Person:[ul]
[] State or Country: Poland
[] School Type: Public, very small
[] Ethnicity: Polish
[li] Gender: F[/li][/ul]Other Factors:** General Comments:

[] State or Country: Germany (Korean Citizen)
[] School Type: International

[li] Gender: Male[/li][/ul]Other Factors: General Comments: I think I should have put more efforts on my essays. I hope I'll get into other colleges such as Rice, Cornell, etc. It'd be great if I can get accepted to Princeton :p

I am in NJ, i did not receive the letter today...i guess tomorrow...but i e-mailed them trying to find out my decision...today...i am so p*****off...

maybe you got a point there Greco...didnt think of things that way. Applying it to myself, its actually better to get rejected now than to dream that I'd accepted RD, where I have 86% chance of getting rejected. Hope you get in though Greco :)

same to you callthecops, but it is unlikely for me....i requested an e-mail decision...i fabricated an excuse that i'd be outta town..i dont care at this point, good or bad, i'd be happier to know than to wait for a stupid letter...

* SAT: M: 800 V: 760 W: 740
* SAT IIs: 800/780/710
* GPA: 4.55
* Rank: 4/240
* Other stats: Key Club President, Spanish Honor Society Vice President, AIME 114.5, New Jersey Governor's School in the Sciences, NJ Boys State representative, 2 years of the same job, 2 snowboarding competition placements (1st place and 3rd place)

Subjective:

* Essays: Above average, not great
* Teacher Recs: Amazing
* Counselor Rec: Unsure
* Hook (if any): Gov School? AIME. EC's. No real 'hook'

Location/Person:

* State or Country: NJ
* School Type: medium sized competitive
* Ethnicity: Asian (Indian)
* Gender: male

Other Factors: one of my best friends 2 hours away from me got accepted. i guess it just wasn't meant to be. UPenn - second choice.

Oh God, you people are so much better than me.

My SAT scores are: 670(m), 730(v), and 660(w)
SAT II: 780 (World History), 800 (U.S. History), and 690 (Literature)
My GPA is ~94% unweighted, which ranks me 8/168
APs: World History (5), U.S. History (5), Calculus A/B (4), Environmental Science (5), and I will be taking B/C Calculus and English this year.

...Not too impressive... and I'm White.

The only things that I can really see going for me are my essays (which they may love or HATE), and the fact that I will be a first generation college student. Also, both myself and my counselor mentioned that my father broke his back and was out of work for almost a year, so I had to work A LOT of extra hours to help with the bills. I guess you could call that a "hook," but Princeton may not care.

The man who interviewed me also let me know that Princeton normally selects students based on what subject areas Princeton needs to strengthen, so hopefully their English department blows this year.

So, in summation, you guys > me and I am very worried right now.

Stats:[ul]
[] SAT: 800 v, 720m, 800w
[] SAT IIs:750 USHist, 760 Lit, 750 Spanish (and some lower math ones)
[] GPA: 4.3w, which i think comes out to about 3.7uw
[] Rank: No ranking
[] Other stats: AP Spanish Lang 5, AP UH Hist. 5. One college class.
[/ul]Subjective:[ul]
[] Essays:I thought they were very good, but not amazingly awesome
[] Teacher Recs: again, probably pretty good, but I doubt if they were incredible ( I didn't read them)
[] Counselor Rec: This might have been pretty incredible. (Didn't read)
[] Hook (if any): Went to Princeton Humanities Symposium. I think that's what did it. I have some ECs, most of which are theater related, which Pton supposedly is trying to get more of, but really, none of these ECs was like amazing.
[/ul]Location/Person:[ul]
[] State or Country: New Jersey
[] School Type: small, fairly competitive public
[] Ethnicity: white
[li] Gender: female[/li][/ul]Other Factors: ??? General Comments: I just, don't know. NO IDEA. CC has gotten me so scared about admissions, at this point I was wondering why I had bothered to apply in the first place. Congrats to all the fellow '10ers, and to everybody else, good luck in RD, and I know you'll all end up somewhere amazing.
