the stats are on teh qb website. i think about 2000 applied for princeton via qb.

I'm not sure excatly how QB works, but aren't there just a bunch of check boxes? so I'm sure there were many underqualified applicants who decided to just check the Princeton box?

so 9/2000 is not really an accurate reflection of how intense the competition is...
I hope.
but then, last year of Princeton ED...so =/
.45% acceptance rate...hey, you never know ;)

So 9 acceptances and ~2000 deferrals/rejections? (0.5% acceptance rate ?!?!)
No offense, but you'd have to be insane to apply QB, unless you were aiming for the double RD boost later on (as I said, QB + RD might be good).

ok somone explain this to me. if QB actually hurts in ED, why does it help in RD? and why would it hurt at all(For ED) in the first place, if low incoming/overcoming adversity are all looked favorably upon by P'ton(and if its so generous w/ its money in the first place?)

you know, even if i am a qb finalist, have wrestled w/ the qb program for months, i still don't know what da hel's going on.

I thought it was an advantage to apply via qb.....what's going on?

last year, Princeton accepted no QB ppl early, but over 40 RD...

well wats the QB RD rate?
how many ppl applied? if its a lot, 40 total isn't too high

so in reality, the princeton admission office is reading over 4000 apps? (2000 QB + 2200 ED)....

BUT.....qb is in a separate pool it seems...so ED people shouldn't be affected too much. but of course, for qb applicant you need to compete against other qb applicants AND ED applicants. If they were all in one pool, i am pretty sure there would have been more than 9 qb acceptances.

wow....9 out of 2000 people? INSANE!!! so i guess the rest of the QB people are out of the running for ED admission. that's good for us, i guess

yup! that's good for you!!! :) :) :) :) :)

T_T (i cry at teh corner)

if i'm not mistaken all 2000 people applying through the qb program dont apply to princeton...you still have the choice of selecting schools your interested in. out of those 2k maybe 100 or 200 (numbers are made up) wanted to go to princeton.

about 3300 people applied qb.

Princeton is one of the best school in the country, therefore it wouldn't hurt to rank it even if it's not your top choice.

therefore at least half of the 3300 who applied qb must have applied to princeton.

just reviving the Official Princeton ED Decisions thread..
this is the one we had decided to use..
some people had posted new threads

Guys I really think we should make a new cleaner thread for decisions and jus t put the QB actual decisions in. It will suck for next year's applicants if they havve to read through 20 pages to get three results. Anyone agree? Or do you all want to stick with this?

I agree with gettingin

QB's Rd acceptence rate was around 35 percent last year. But that was not only for princeton so i dont know what princeton's individual rate will be this year.

If we do Decide to make a new thread...I think we should REALLY wait until the decisions are out or at least close to when the they come out so it doesn't get SO spammy.

Yeah, like make it the 16th or something

For sure...oh btw...btlesgirl...Wicked was so incredible!!!! Idina was beyond wonderful...she sounded 10 million times better than she does on the album live which is shocking because she is AMAZING on the cd! Anyway...it was GREAT!!
