Ernie... I am so sorry to hear this, but I want you to know that you were a fabulous applicant, and for Princeton not to take you, it just shows out blind sometimes they can be. I am sure you will be happy wherever you decide to matriculate next fall!

also... does anyone know what the color codes are? (for orange, red, and yellow)

Oh yeah, I wanted to ask that but totally forgot. Ernie, what was your prospective major?

color codes are just the RGB 256 combination in hexidecimal form. Here is a list of a phew http://www.accessv.com/~email/webpages/colorcodes.html You could also make a bunch of other ones.

politics/wilson

its okay, just because you weren't matched through QB doesnt mean you cant get in RD---my friend is a QB applicant and he said the full scholarships/matches were more based on financial situation, but i'm sure you'll get really good fin aid anyway
Good Luck!

im sorry ernie h...this is a bad day for the princeton forum :(

Do you guys not like that orange? I think I picked it, but I'm not sure.....I think it is just dark enough to see, but just orange enough to show our Princeton spirit! :p

Ernie, I'm sorry about the rejection... hopefully you'll have better luck in the RD round.

where is gqunit??

Are those the only two QBers anyway? I thought there were at least a couple more....
Hopefully, gqunit got good news and was too busy celebrating to post =P

Add me to the list..

General Comments/Congratulations/Venting/Commiserations,etc:
This sucks. I can't breathe and...can't stop crying. It was my first choice, my dream school, and well, like Ernie said, "I should not have applied questbridge.... Hardly any students got accepted through QB." I still have RD but it feels like this decision will be the precursor to all my college applications. Sigh, so many regrets, so many...I wish I didn't have to rush my essays. Why am i graduating early? It makes you question what you worked for all these years. Ah, i'm sorry for blabbing, but as you can imagine, I am heartbroken.

Nonetheless, best of wishes to those of you who are still waiting for Dec. 15. May your fates be better than mine..

aww I'm so sorry kisstheskyxx =/
:: online hug ::
You're right, you still have RD!!! Good luck with that and the rest of your RDs =)

Well it looks like Princeton is off to a harsh start this year....

They are deferring/rejecting amazing kids.

im sorry kissthesky :( good luck with RD!!
aerkn. yeah, this is rough. i'm not feeling so great about my chances right now...

... PS now i'm getting reallyyy nervous

This is my 500th post. but...

General Comments/Congratulations/Venting/Commiserations,etc: I was expecting this to happen. Cool. Congratulations to Ernie if he is accepted, if he's deferred that's fine since he will definitely get in the regular round. good luck everyone else :) now i get to apply to all the engineering schools! I will definitely apply to Princeton tho in the regular round, as it will always remain my number one choice.

oh man i'm sorry gqunit...good luck rd!

Jeez gqunit...I can't believe you didn't get in, with those EC's, SATs, and your general awesomeness. Good luck during RD (both at Princeton and at any other school that is lucky enough to have you apply!)
