Official Princeton ED Decisions - Class of 2011

no acceptances? this is depressing; I'm not getting in...

ya it really is depressing. gq, ill miss you! make sure u get in RD!

im thinking.....BOYCOTT!!! REMEMBER OUR PLAN GUYS-we all write letters saying that if all CCers don't get in, they'll get none of us! muahahahaha:)

gqunit, i would like to read your essay as well, if you don't mind. thanks.

I'm SO sorry, gqunit!! :(
You're an amazing applicant and will probably get in RD, so don't lose hope!
What was that you were saying about being too high-income? Do QB acceptances rely on need, too? I thought it was just qualification for QB that did.
Also, if you don't mind, I'd love to see your essay, too. PM it over.

OH MY GOD... It has only been a couple of days that I didn't log in here and so much happened! Gee, I feel soooooo sorry for you guys, Ernie, kissthesky and gqunit... All of you are awesome! Well, for sure you'll end up somewhere great. I know it's cliche but guess I should start visioning getting the damn small envelope everyday now.

yeah i'd definitely like to read (admire) your essay as well! thanks a lot!

Let's keep this forum. The decisions are easy to see, and if people don't want to read the comments in between, they can gloss over them.

One quick question...there are two places for hooks on the template. I'm assuming one of them is an academic-related hook, and the other is URM/legacy type hook?

ya its kinda weird, but that's how the P'ton applicants always posted their results.

the hook under the EC stuff is for amazing ECs u may have done or started, etc

the other one is for like URM status or legacy, etc

i love how there are 12 pages of "results" but only three substantial post

OFFICIAL BREAK-PRINCETON ED DECISIONS (2011)

ok we will revive this thread around DECECEMBER 13-14.

wait i want to add "prospective major" and "awards" to the stats/decision list! can we please? i posted a sample one a few pages back. i could repost it if you want. also, the one we keep posting bothers me because "hook" is on there twice.

oops sorry i guess i shouldn't have revived this

ok this is the DECISION/STATS LIST we will use when we revive the thread
I differentiated between the 2 types of hooks

accepted should be orange.

Wait a minute. If these 3 got rejected/deferred with their outstanding stats, then what the heck is Princeton LOOKING FOR?

Seriously?

i dont think its that they got rejected/deferred, just not matched. Princeton probably only took a handful of ppl through QuestBridge, and i doubt these guys rated anywhere else, so they just were not the 3-4 most outstanding applicants in the QB pool. That doesnt mean that they wont get in RD. I also heard that sometimes schools base QB admissions more on finances because it is a full ride vs. substantial financial aid, so they would give the full ride to the worse off person and the large fin aid to the better off one, even if of the same caliber.

OMG STOP POSTING ON THIS THREAD. JUST LET IT GET LOST UNTIL DEC.13 OR SO. HAVE CHATS ON OTHER THREADS, plz

haha, sry for posting but pk12313 you're hilarious

pk, just make another clean thread that day!

yeah didn't we already agree that our three QBers will just repost their stats in the new one?
