j07 and all other acceptees -- CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! I'm so excited for you guys. :)

I still can't access my account for some reason, so right now I'm actually more impatient than scared... I'll try another password once they "unlock" it, otherwise I guess I'll have to wait for the mail. :(

CONGRATULATIONS j07, ernie, ucfilm, graham, and everyone else who got in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i am so so so so excited to meet everyone next year.

to those who didn't get in, especially the ed group, every time i read a rejected post i felt sooo sad... but i KNOW you will all go somewhere amazing and love it. let us know where you end up going!

I was rejected, I'll post stats later. :( Princeton was my first choice, and I'd be lying if I said I'm not heartbroken, but I'm probably going to Dartmouth. I'll probably cry a bit later on -- I'm sentimental like that -- but all things considered, I think it's a pretty damn good outcome.

Edit: This post made me sound a lot more nonchalant than I actually am. I think I'm probably much more upset than I'm allowing myself to be right now, mixed with the incredible happiness of getting into Dartmouth. I'm still more or less in shock that this is the conclusion to everything (and the beginning to many more, hopefully much more exciting everythings ;)). Everything I write now comes out flippant, so I'm just going to stop.

omgosh, omz, CONGRATS!! i'm shocked but not surprised (if that makes ANY sense at all!); in other words, you definitely deserved to get in (I thought that from the beginning), but I have had a picture in my mind of you at Wellesley for so long that it seems weird to even connect you to Princeton anymore.
I really admire you for having the courage and self-knowledge to turn down Princeton for Wellesley (even though it's an INCREDIBLE school, don't get me wrong!!!). You will have an amazing time at Wellesley, and YOU DESERVE IT.

Thanks :]
Wellesley is where I truly imagine myself
BUT I might just go to Texas
Because completely fulllll ride there + prestigious scholarship + two honors programs + dual degree + a lot easier than Wellesley

[li] Why you think you were accepted or rejected: I think I lacked focus within activities and essays.[/li][/ul] General Comments/Congratulations/Venting/Commiserations,etc: I'm certainly a tad disappointed, butI think they made the right decision. While I was in love with Princeton when I applied, over the last several months I have realized that my personality doesn't match Princeton's. I don't think I would be happy there in the long run, and I hope that whoever they admitted is! Congrats and good luck!

Going crazy here. I was rejected, not a huge suprise. Also rejected at Yale, Penn, and Brown. Cornell is my last hope. It is not working. I think "maybe they sent decisions on email? I check. There is my rejection to the peferred admit program at Ross (business at UMich). So 5 rejections today. And one school that I have no idea what is going on with.

i hate to quote myself, but i'm just to copy what i wrote in the "denied..." thread: "princeton rejected me. i got into dartmouth; i'm probably going there, and i'm really excited about that... but i still have to cry now, even though i knew this was probably going to happen. i've been happy, and i'm going to be happy later, but i need this moment to be heartbroken because i've put so much of myself into all this." congrats to everyone who was accepted, and to those who weren't, it's okay to be upset. at least, i hope it is, because otherwise i'm pretty screwed. :o
