"the kid of faculty" teaches us? lol

Haha, sorry, didn't catch that one. Though it'd be pretty funny if true.

Haha thanks, and thanks for the advice. I also know that Princeton has a top-notch Physics department, which is a plus point. I'm also interested in EE. Princeton's EE is pretty good, right?

My other choices which I have already decided not to pursue were Harvey Mudd and Berkeley, HMC because of its small size and ugly campus, and Berkeley because its large undergrad numbers and I want to get a bit away from my comfort zone, which isn't helped by the fact 3 of my good friends are pressuring me to go there and room with them. Hah.

I'm leaning towards Princeton right now.

A Princeton BSE is very respectable, particularly in the context of the HYPS schools, and Princeton has no shortage of excellence in just about every other discipline. So even if EE gives way to some other discipline, Princeton's got you covered!

I know how you feel about the full ride to UCSD. I was offered an insane scholarship from Williams that would have covered my four years there and three years at ANY grad school I wanted (up to $100,000 a year). It was extremely difficult, but I've decided to turn it down for Princeton. (Though I'll make sure Williams gets compensated some day. :))

Whoa. That's insane. What did you do, find the cure for cancer? :P

i've been trawling this thread trying to find accepted applicants with a GPA around 3.8 uw...i found a grand total of ONE non-minority applicant! He/she had a 3.79 uw and got into yale and princeton. i'm soooooo worried! :( looks like a GPA of 3.9 UW or higher is a necessity!

^^Very true, even for minority applicants. You can always ask for advice from any of the princeton class of 2010 for advice (if you need it).

well princeton is tough. so if you don't have a good gpa, you'll be at the bottom of the curve probably. i mean, it is an academic powerhouse

a courteous bump for those applying RD for the class of 2011

We'll make a new thread, won't we?

yeah. we'll make a new thread. i think zerocool920 just meant that some ppl worry about their chances as the decision date gets closer, so they review past admissions decisions.

i only found one person on this thread who was deferred and then accepted. this makes me worried and sad :(

ak72889, not everyone who was deferred and then accepted is on CC. Don't worry too much about it.

This doesn't bode well for me!
