No, they all come out at 5 PM ET
If they all come out March 28, that is absolutely going to ruin my brother’s birthday. Either I’ll be sad or we’ll be celebrating me instead of him.
I’ll be on spring break when decisions come out… yeet
@tt8082 me too! So that whole week I am going to find ways to distract myself from my impending doom
@person2000 March 28 is a Wednesday so at least We’ll have time to either cope or celebrate lol
March 28th seems so far away… sheesh, just give me my rejection letter and go! :))
Just received an interview request! I am from Canada
Good luck! @yayaylearner
Thank you! @TiggerDad
Is it bad if you haven’t received an interview request but they were already sent out in your area?
@anxiouswreck It’s only 2 more months…
March 28 is during my spring break so I get to think of it as waiting for spring break lol.
@geugen It likely means there are not enough interviewers for your area. I know of two interviewers who are in an area with many alumni and they cannot get to everyone. There is no implication, good or bad, about your probability of acceptance.
But how do they pick who gets one? Is it random?
Usually there’s a regional coordinator who assigns students to the regional interviewers. If you reside in an area where there aren’t enough interviewers, then the Admissions office probably directly assigns students to whoever is available. My son’s interviewer, for example, had to drive nearly 2 hours to interview my son. As I stated before, my son’s interview took place on the last day of Jan. Some take place in February, so don’t fret over it and get your mind elsewhere.
When I had my interview (I was deferred SCEA) anyway, my interviewer told me how he is given a certain area and how he is given interviews by a regional coordinator, but I was talking to another student who applied to Princeton from my school and we had different interviewers. (This could also be because we are from different towns and I go to a regional high school). I would want to think that interviews are first come first serve, but I don’t know. If you apply later, the regional coordinators assigning interviews will get to you later and if there are no interviewers in the area with extra time, then you won’t get one. Also, some interviewers might get back to you later than others depending on their schedules and if they have been checking emails and what not.
Hi there. I’m new here. My son applied RD at the deadline and has not heard from an interviewer. My question… does Princeton interview every potential candidate? I’ve heard they only interview a random percentage. If he doesn’t have an interview is all hope lost? Good luck to all of you!
I got an email from Princeton Admissions saying I should expect to be contacted by an interviewer they gave me the name of.
I know two interviewers very well. One person they interviewed for SCEA was accepted. Another in the same region who received no interview because of a lack of interviewers was also accepted. The intent is to interview all applicants, however application numbers have soared in the last couple years and there are simply not enough available alumni to get to everyone. If you are not able to be interviewed, it will not be held against you.
@TiggerDad Thank you so much for taking the time to reply with such helpful information!
I have my Princeton interview today! So excited!! Af Am Studies major here.
