Univ. of Alabama (Honors College and pending UFE decision)
Auburn U (will apply to Honors College soon)
Georgia Tech (EA acceptance, waiting on Pres. Scholar semi-finalist status 1/11)
MIT (most likely matriculating here if FA is sufficient, I’m loving the school atm)</p>

Princeton’s kinda my highest reach & I’m not applying to MIT (out of reach?)
That said, all the colleges I’m applying to are reaches for me (Cornell, Columbia, Dartmouth, NW, UPenn) except UIUC!! Anyway, I’d like to know what I’m up against!!</p>
<p>I know this is off topic, but do you guys think that because I only put one adjective (‘Brilliantly eccentric’) in the part where it asks for adjectives you friends would use to describe you with, that I would be discriminated against in admissions? I know it’s a ridiculously small part of the application but I think it makes me look a fool. Should I contact admissions?</p>

But that isn’t what “discriminated against” means, it will just be probably a very slightly negative thing (especially if you’re international, they will consider that you may not have grasped the connotation of what you said). Do not contact admissions, they’ll just focus on it more.</p>

<p>rishav, basic stats are 2340 (superscored), 800 x2 SAT IIs, barely top 5% class rank. But my ECs are better than my stats.</p>

<p>SAT I: 2080 (single sitting), 730 Chem, 660 Math II (when I applied, now it’s a 770 in case I didn’t get into MIT), 750 Math I (did not have this score at the time I was applying to MIT) in the top 3% of my grade (likely will rise to top 2%) out of roughly 700. </p>
<p>My ECs are a tremendous part of my application, helped paint the picture of me that I want these colleges to see (that rhymes!)</p>

<p>I applied for the lulz. No one from my school’s ever gone (no one’s applied in like 5 years) so fingers crossed.</p>
<p>My tracking has updated, all my materials are in that they have requested.</p>
<p>I’m going to email them to see if I can send an unofficial transcript for a math class I took at my local university.</p>

<p>The inspiration one was the hardest for me to answer. I eventually put something sort of stupid. Idk I feel like my whole application seemed like I was “trying too hard” even though I was being honest… The Art of War is actually my favorite book (I don’t read much)… Whatever though. I hope I get in cause it seems like an awesome school, but either way I’ll be fine. :)</p>
