Official Princeton University RD Class of 2017 Thread!

The wait killeth meh.
Behold.

@Pomani - Even though it might be unusually long, I assure you - they will read the whole thing!! :)

March 28?? I would have finished writing my Standard 12 Council Examinations by then!!
This is good & bad. Good cause the decisions shouldn’t affect my exams but then the last few days will be full of anxiety & I doubt I will be able to study!! :(

Just got a confirmation e-mail saying that my application is complete :)

Me too! Can’t wait for the big day!

sent my college transcript to Princeton today, I’m pleased with how streamlined the process is

im such a cheeseball… i put fight club as my favorite movie and favorite quote as one from pulp fiction… what is going on i dont even know.

^ Haha!! As I said earlier, everyone had fun with the short prompts!! :)

I put Madagascar as my favorite movie…hopefully they don’t think I’m a five-year-old. just being honest though :P

Airplane was my favorite movie.

Favorite movie - “A Beautiful Mind”!!
Though Shawshank Redemption was almost on the app!! And my first thought was - Indiana Jones - The ark of the covenant!! :D

rishav, I put “A Beautiful Mind” as well haha. My answer was heavily influenced by the movie’s setting, but I it really is one of my favorites.

I put The Thin Red Line down as my favorite movie! It’s way too good.

@greysnow - Haha! Same here, though the setting is apt - I must say the story is very compelling and of course there is Russel Crowe’s acting to go with it!! :)

@greyhound - I too like Thin Red Line!! Though it’s not anywhere near the top of my movies list!!
(P.S. A lot of “grey” people here - wonder why that is so @greysnow,greyhound!! :P)

But again - the point is I don’t think it matters in the admission decisions!! Cause I can’t see how someone who likes Movie A would be more favorable to be a part of Princeton than someone who likes Movie B!!

I put my favorite movie as The Butterfly Effect and my favorite book as It by Stephen King…hahahah

Stephen King. <33333333

Has any one applied between Christmas and New Year gotten email for an interview ?
I hear Princeton offers interviews to all applicants however, I have not received any notice yet. Bit worried…

^ Maybe Pton doesnt have an Alumni association in your area!! Don’t worry - It doesn’t count!!

And at least you are better off than me!! I applied between Christmas & New Year too - and got a mail from Pton with details about my interviewer within 2 days!!
But its been 2-3 weeks since then and my interviewer hasn’t contacted me yet!! And my friend who applied on the 31st got contacted by his interviewer - a day after the email!!

I have a bad feeling that my interviewer would have missed the mail from Pton!! :(

Rishav17 - make sure you check your junk/spam mail since they have been known to land in there! And if you have done that and still don’t hear back from the interviewer, it might be a good idea to let the university know.

^ I check the spam daily!! Not there!!

I’ve decided to wait till end of next week & then contact the university!! :)

My favourite movie was The Day After Tomorrow

And yes my interviewer was actually really on top of things; they sent me an email before princeton sent the email telling me to expect an interview! Although I was away from home so I saw both at the same time.
