Official Princeton University RD Class of 2017 Thread!

My interviewer asked me no questions whatsoever. I had to ask all the questions and try to work in some details about myself in there. It was rather difficult. I think I did alright, however.

TOTAL pipe dream for me, friend.

Pipe dream applicant here. But I was already accepted at UVA so I’ll be happy no matter what :)

I submitted an arts supplement via priority mail a while back, will I be getting any confirmation that they have received it?

Accepted through SCEA. Came here to offer moral support.
Remember, anything is possible!

Lolz, my stats are horrid. And still no interview. :o

Got into USC yesterday! Takes pressure off of this decision in March!

(MaryMac15535’s mom here): I tried accessing Princeton’s online financial aid application immediately after submitting the CSS Profile today, but got an error message that the Princeton website couldn’t find my daughter’s CSS ID #. How long an interval do I need to allow for the CSS Profile info to get into Princeton’s system before I can file the financial aid form with some fields pre-filled from the CSS Profile?

Submitted my Princeton PFAA yesterday. That was much, much easier than CSS! very simple and straightforward.

As an international student, CSS Profile was a nightmare to fill.

slightly under 2 months to go guys!

What’s the date for decisions?

It looks like March 28 from the website:

Hi there!
It’s still a bit early for me to apply to uni, as I’ve still got 2 more years of high school to go (from NZ btw, but born in Burma) but I was wondering whether any of you would have any advice about; the ideal types of activities to be involved in at school… How to make the most of high school really. Haha, sorry this may be a bit of a vague question but I’d LOVE to attend a university like Princeton!! Since i’ve got a sister there, got quite a lot of pressure too :S Thanks!

Cheers for that Cantiger!

Aargh… My interviewer STILL hasn’t contacted me!! It’s been over a month now!! :(

But, on top of that, I do get random emails from the Pton Alumni Regional Vice Chair telling all interviewees who haven’t yet received an interview to keep patience!! :)

God knows I need this interview real bad, if I have to have any chance at getting in!! :stuck_out_tongue:
(And I know interviews don’t matter much — :p)

Interview on the 11th of Feb :smiley:
South African student here btw.
Can’t wait, really hope it goes well - unfortunately my interviewing has almost nothing in common with me (Woodrow Wilson, marching band… and I’m planning on engineering and definitely not marching band…). If this goes well I might actually have a chance at Pton as my stats aren’t up to par with the rest of the applicants.

@Rishav, PO
Good to see you guys here :)

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!! :)

@mmrnz13,

I think this is the wrong question to ask. Rather, ask yourself what you love to do, and then pursue whatever that may be to the best of your abilities. If you don’t have any opportunities at your school that align with your passions, then create opportunities of your own – start clubs, get involved in other non-school-affiliated community activities, ect. Basically, relentlessly follow whatever passions you may have, whatever they may be.

dont worry about not being contacted for your interview… my interviewer took three weeks to write me back and we just now met.
give it two weeks, by then you should hear and if not, reach out! some interviewers only do 3/4 interviews a year because they are so busy (princeton for me), but my brown interviewer does like 20… it all depends. and remember, not everyone even gets this extra opportunity to show off.

^@artobsessed - Was that a reply to me??

Anyway thanks!! I do know that Pton alums are very busy - pretty much the reason why I’ve not gone crazy sending emails!! :stuck_out_tongue:
But you have to agree that not receiving any communication for over a moth can be irritating sometimes!! But as long as I finally do the interview, I’m fine!! :D

@Raith can’t get rid of us!
