<p><em>Some</em> people are deferred and then accepted. I don’t think that getting deferred places you at a disadvantage compared to the regular applicant pool, necessarily - I don’t think it does at Harvard/Yale - but who knows.</p>
<p>Even though I was deferred, I still am basically crying. I know it’s better than rejection, but it still kind of sucks.</p>

<p>bluedevils, don’t feel too bad. I personally know people who got in after being deffered. If anything, it gives you more time to build up your resume. There’s obviously something that they liked about you.</p>
