Official Private School Transfer Thread

clig, are you sure we can do that, and are you sure that's the correct amount? it's not bad!

Yeah, the Statetement of Intent or whatever it's called is a small fee, and it's not binding. I'm 99.9999% sure (But don't sue me if I'm wrong!)

I just got accepted to Bates College in Maine last week. Was a hard struggle but now I can relax and finally start enjoying my college experience this fall.

-3.5 HS gpa
-3.93 College GPA
-1360 SAT (submitted)
-excellent interview, recs from college president, 2 glowing ones from teachers
-active EC involvement in every aspect (founder of a statewide political newspaper, active in fall political campaigns, student senate, etc)

So why aren't there too many liberal arts school transfers? I've noticed a few, but I'd expect there to be more.

You can send in the $100 and not attend, that's what i did at UC Davis after my senior year in highschool. I was completely undecided whether I wanted to goto Davis or a community college and try for Berkeley and other schools after two years at a comm. coll. But, I sent in the deposit and then ended up not going.

thegwall, where did you go before?

I am transfering to Bates As well. I am at SUNY Binghamton engineering.
