*OFFICIAL PSAT THREAD 2014 (US)*

the painting thing was to memoralize the first day they met or something

no, to memorialize something or other

What did you guys put for the friendship question for Zora Hurston? I put suitability.

Her letter lacked what?I put verve.

For the politician question “tough most nearly means…” I put competitive. Some are saying it was “bold” though.

Curve predictions? Honestly think the CR Curve should be EXTREMELY GENEROUS…seeing how they used stuff from the NOV 2011 SAT

I put capacity. the 2011 thread agrees with me, although i was having a tough time deciding. tough means competitive for sure. a political race cant be bold. yes for verve.

I think i go the following wrong:

1-2 of the vocabulary questions
Eliane’s feeling
the hypothesis/analogy/qualification question
the penguin question
the breed question – stupid mistake

I thought the math was ridiculously easy but I’m good at math.
The writing was okay. not too difficult.
The CR KILLED ME IT WAS SO HARD

So here is how I think I did

0 wrong on math
3-8 (I’m thinking 5 wrong) on Critical reading (this was so hard)
1 wrong on writing

What do you think my score could be (this is important)

What is the QuickStart thing??? Do they post our scores online?

@riship
It was error because of an error of subject-verb agreement I believe. One group = singular so breed would have to be “breeds”.

@YoohooAddict Nothing

Can someone enlighten me, what was the question for the hypothesis answer?

@livelaugh7
Yes I believe when you get your PSAT they give you a code (OR if you log into your CB account) go to Quickstart. Your scores are posted online.

@skieurope‌ So would my test still be received by my school?

@flyinghigh101‌ nope there was no evidence for it

can we get a final answer on the area of shaded region and the triangle question? Thanks

estimation for these?
math - 2 wrong (3 if the answer for triangles is just III)
writing- 1 wrong
critical reading - 3 wrong

@i2400ezpz
Yes there was. It said the painting was a backdrop to their first meeting in the passage iirc.

what was the one with the radiuses and triangle and how did you get it? I turned each side into 2r and solved using Pythagorean therom but I did not get an answer and then I plugged in but still did not get an answer choice so I guessed. I must have missed something…

what the shaded region the square or not the square

it was 2rad2r I think. It’s a 1-1-rad2 ratio

I got Choice A for that multiple circles and one triangle question.
I think i was 2 x root 2r?

WAIT- FOR THE SQUARE INSIDE A CIRCLE, WERE YOU FINDING THE AREA OF THE SQUARE/THE CIRCLE OR THE EXTRA AREAS OUTSIDE SQUARE/CIRCLE
