<p>Did the question say you would draw one color after another? Because if not you can draw 12 of the same color before getting anything else</p>
<p>@jmahr1127 yeah but you want to 100% certain that you will get 3 of any color. doesn’t matter which one. If you drew 12 of the same color, then you would have only needed to draw 3 to get three of the same color. But to be certain, you would have had to draw 7</p>
