<p>With those types of questions asking for "what could the third side be?"</p>
<p>Add the two other sides for the max</p>
<p>Subtract the two other sides for the min.</p>
<p>SO, 12 + 2 = 14</p>
<p>12 - 2 = 10</p>
<p>Meaning, the answer must be between 10 and 14.</p>

<p>sultry the exact defintion is hot and humid which is exactly what the sentence said, whereas arid is more dry.. but ya, this question was pretty tough, i debated for a loooong time on this one..</p>

I think the answer is <em>demonstrates</em> because their is a plural subject, so you need <em>demonstrate</em> ...anyone agree/disagree???</p>
