Hi CCers! Im new to this forum and I have a question regarding the short answers on the Questbridge application.

Can we list our answers as a list? If not, then which format would be most appropriate?

Thank you!

I say do whichever will get your point across more smoothly (naturally?)

Since everyone seems to be ignoring my thread… >_>;;

If my parents separated three years ago, do I have to submit my father’s 2009 income? And also, if I apply only to non-binding schools, can I pick between them, and/or do regular decision as well?

i recieved the letter for questbridge a few weeks ago and didn’t know what it was until now D:… i know it’s wayyyyyy late, but i decided to make account. now i’m so very stressed and worried about how to complete the app. will it negatively affect me if i made an account and didn’t apply? i just don’t want the partner colleges to see me as a irresponsible student…

no, it’s perfectly okay to have made an account but not submit it. No college will ever know.

soomonkey,

I think the partner colleges will not be aware that you made an account if you have not submitted the application. Finish the application if you can and don’t worry about the colleges finding out you didn’t submit if you do wind up not submitting.

alrighttt, thanks! :D

Seriously? There are always computer glitches and why would you wait to submit at the deadline. I’m sorry, I don’t think that anybody that thinks that deserves to be a QB match.
Finish your frickin app and submit it!

can someone please help me? thank you in advance
my college counselor faxed my transcript but she forgot to include one my Sat II test score report. since its kind of incomplete do i have to fax EVERYTHING (including the other test score reports recieved) again? or do i just fax the sat II score report that wasnt sent? thank you soo much in advance.

^^haha, yes GA2012MOM, but I’ve found myself in the same boat just because I didn’t find out about QB until a little late in the game. I’m guessing the poster is telling recommenders the absolute deadline for submitting their recommendations (because I know that’s what I am having to do). I still gave them about three weeks notice, but sometimes they just need to know the end deadline… and as the QB application process draws to its end, I really wanted to thank you GA2012MOM for everything you have helped out with on this forum (even though don’t always ask, you often answer my questions before I ask them). Thanks a million.

And cherryblossom, on the QB site, it says that if a fax is incomplete, to delete that fax off the My Locker page and fax it all again…unfortunate but I think it’s the only way

thank you soo much. =)

Oh ok thanks gaginang!

Much thanks! :)

Thanks physicsnut. I will try to help as I can, but it seems much has changed over the last couple of years. It is frustrating to hear students procrastinating over something that could be life changing. Please, all of you realize whether or not you are a match, that QB is a great program that will give your app a second look. I tend to say if you are not finishing up apps and **ing about them at the last moments, you are probably not the type of student that they want anyways. Sit down and just do the *! You are applying to some of the most elite schools in the country, at least have the courtesy to let them know you have put them ahead of facebook, etc. Submitting your app at the last minute doesn’t show them that you are “editing” your essay, it just shows you are lazy. Put up or shut up.

My rant was not directed at any specific poster, it was to the entire QB student population

Do we enter athletics on the transcript section?

If so, should we specify “other” for the grading period if it was Quarter 1? (For Cross Country, I receive a grade for the first quarter).

How creative can someone get with his essays? i.e. Can one of them be in the format of a poem/short story? Will this be penalized, frowned upon?

Luminouzz, if it is a class that is graded and is on your school transcript, then yes by all means enter it. I’m assuming it is like a PE class at your school?

Same thing here. I got one teacher’s recommendation that says “completed”, but the other recommendation and the counselor’s rec don’t have a status. I assume they’ve already received it, but still haven’t organized it and attached it to your file, hence it’s not “complete”, but nor is it “not started” because clearly they received the recommendations. Although, I don’t see why they can’t automatically attached it to your account since the Recommender’s account is attached to your account. JMO
Silly technology

Here’s what it looks like

^^Yes, Cross Country is like a PE class. However, I receive a grade during the first quarter, which isn’t the first or second grading session.

Should I mark “other” for Questbridge? (it asks us to choose the term when we received the grade).
