<p>For the schools that say January 1st, does it mean that the last time to upload would be January 1st at 11:59PM, or one day earlier, on December 31st, at 11:49PM?</p>

<p>I believe it's 11:59 PM on the 31st. Although my mom tells me, "If you have to ask that question, you're doing it too late!" (My mom is the type of person that raised me by strict punctuality. "If you're on time, that's late!")</p>
<p>you can do it until jan 1st.. eg Brown gave a specific time till jan 1 1145pm est.. uchicago you can do it till jan 1st - any time zone in the world, columbia jan 1..</p>

<p>Guys: if you're still hoping to submit online, you BETTER not wait until the last hours -- due to the many, many procrastinators, expect server overloads, long wait times and even crashes. I believe Northstarmom has a thread about it.</p>

<p>For Jan 1 deadline, you have until the end of Jan 1 to submit via computer. However, since Murphy's Law applies, you should assume that if you wait until the last minute one of the following will occur just as you are about to complete the process: (a) your computer will crash; (b) a storm will hit wiping out your electricity; (c) you will discover at the end of the app that there is a signature page that you need to print, sign and actually mail and have postmarked by the deadline date; (d) you will realize that your essay for Cornell says Princeton 14 times in it and you have only 15 seconds left to correct everything and send; (e) you will go to hit send and accidentally hit delete. In other words, heed T26E4's advice: get the application done NOW.</p>

<p>btw, chicago is jan 2, not jan 1. 23:59:59 on Jan 2 in baker's island time is the final deadline.</p>
