This makes me feel much better after my Swarthmore rejection earlier today

Waitlisted...I'm too lazy to post stats :-)

A lot of these stats make me wonder why I wasn't at least waitlisted.

General Comments: Holy*ing*.

Accepted! Ok so it's either Brown or MIT for me.

Decision:Accepted

Stats:[ul]
[] SAT: 2190, 730 all three sections
[] SAT IIs: 760 lit, 690 math 2, 650 US History
[] GPA: 3.98uw,4.64w
[] Rank: does not rank, but I know I'm in the top 5%
[] Other stats: 5's on AP Language, Psychology, Comparative Gov't. 4's on US Gov't and World History. Other 3 AP's pending.
[/ul]Subjective:[ul]
[] Essays: I spent the most time on Brown's. Wasn't too sure about my personal essay (editing it for the 20th time clouds your judgement a bit), but I really put a lot of thought into my "Why Brown" essay and felt good about it.
[] Teacher Recs: One absolutely glowing, one good
[] Counselor Rec: Glowing
[] Hook (if any): Um...not really anything.
[/ul]Location/Person:[ul]
[] State or Country: MD
[] School Type: Public, 2000 students, Montgomery County
[] Ethnicity: Filipina/White
[li] Gender: Female[/li][/ul]Other Factors: Iffy interview (the guy was weird and didn't ask me any questions...it was awkward), Editor-in-chief of literary magazine, VP of Model UN and Music Honor Society, Flute section leader, tons of music stuff, mock trial, debate, etc.

*General Comments *: I'm in shock. I really didn't think I'd get in. I don't think I can even afford it. But just...wow. Even if I don't go, I will frame the acceptance letter. I was literally bouncing off the walls (people looked at me funny. I don't care) I was rejected from Yale, waitlisted at Georgetown and Columbia, and accepted into Northwestern to put it in perspective. If I can't afford Brown, I'll go to St. Mary's College of Maryland.

There's a real choice - MIT or Brown! Post here when you decide!

Decision: ACCEPTED!!!!!!!

Stats:[ul]
[] SAT: 2030
[] SAT IIs: US 770
[] GPA: 3.95
[] Rank: 40 of 380
[] Other stats: ACT: 32
[/ul]Subjective:[ul]
[] Essays: What got me in, I'm guessing! I'm an amazing writer!
[] Teacher Recs: Didn't read, but one I was worried about because it was from a hardss teacher who I only got to do it because I respect him, and I thought he would say I'm lazy. (Which is half true)
[] Counselor Rec: He's a nice guy, not a great writer.
[] Hook (if any): I'm from Utah. Yay for URS!
[/ul][ b]Location/Person:[ul]
[] State or Country: Utah
[] School Type: Public
[] Ethnicity: White
[] Gender: Male
[/ul]
Other Factors:**
General Comments: I honestly don't have any idea how I got in. Sucky class rank should have doomed me. But I am so unbelieveably happy, and I thought that it was over after the reject from Columbia and Dartmouth, but I have to say that Brown was my first choice, and now that I am in I don't care about anything else!
