<p>Hmmm, it seems like a lot of qualified applicants are waitlisted... This is just my observation purely from looking at the stats. IF Rice practices yield protection, I doubt it's anywhere as extreme as WashU's. Seriously though, I've looked at last year's RD results and it seems like almost everyone was accepted. Perhaps Rice waitlists more qualified people from Texas??</p>
