So jealous of you all...being a transfer student blows.. :o I just had my interview today..hopefully, I'll know around 4/15 (that's what the SNHS admissions committee is saying) Congratulations to you all.. :D

oh so people are getting decisions now from all schools???

Do we find out on April 1st or March 31st, also, is it email or letter?

I got a letter.
Dated March 8th 2005.
URM=?? ...wat does that mean?... Im a high school senior from philadelphia,pa. Born in NYC. Lived in US all of my life. US citizen. I am Indian. Last name is Patel.
I applied to Nursing and Health Studies [want to be a doc].
stats: 1430 ...690-verbal 740-math
720writing 730chem 740math2c
3.75 unweighted no rank policy.... VERY competitve high school with great reputation
3 AP's so far... 5's on all
3 AP's this year as well as 3 Honors
....but what got me in was my resume... let's just say its amazing for someone applying to a Nursing/Health Studies school.... since I've wanted to be a doctor all of my life... I've done soooo much clinical/shadowing/research stuff... im also a nationally ranked debater [captain]... other leadership positions... lotsssss of communty service ..like 800 hours....
basically i got in because of my resume cuz my stats r'nt amazing

.... i also got into penn's nursing/health studes skool in february... i've pretty much built my resume for being able to get into any nursing/health studies skoll in the country...
... nd i applied ED.

any questions just ask..
peace

Congratulations on your acceptance..where are you planning on going? Penn or GU? Which N/Health Studies major are you planning on pursuing?

By the way..be careful in assuming that you're "amazing" in comparisson to the rest of the SNHS applicants, that may come off a bit arrogant and a bit inaccurate as I'm sure many if not most of the applicants have working experience and credentials similar to your own...Also, don't disreguard your GPA, a 3.75 isn't bad at all! I can only speak for the nursing transfer stats, but last years GPA average was a 3.5, of course that's in reference to college material, but overall I'd say you're a well rounded canidate.

Anyway, I'm jealous you already know..I applied as a transfer and won't know until mid april. :( The suspense is killing me..

ah, ok, you applied to SNHS, so that's why you've heard already. URM = underrepresented minority. congrats on your acceptance and good luck making that decision...

Congrats again! So I'm guessing that everyone should look for letters today and next week, unless NHS sends them out early or something. Check the archives for last year. I can't really remember when they were sent out and i'm too lazy to get my letter to check the date, lol.

Congrats on Penn Nursing as well. I do believe that it's not Penn Nursing and Health Studies, but just Penn Nursing. I personally would choose Penn Nursing if you want to do Nursing, but if you want health systems administration(you need to be in Wharton for that), human science, or international science, you can't beat Georgetown, plain and simple. That's a great decision you have to make, good luck!

eddy, we have to wait for a letter and it's april 1, although i don't know if that means they mail it april 1 or we'll get it by april 1...probably the former...but if i remember correctly, EA applicants got letters before the specified date, so perhaps we will too...

GOOD LUCK!

i'm dying...the wait is deadly...

Still keeping the candle burning for Georgetown. I got an Early Write from Williams College, but keeping the faith in the good ol' Blue and Grey. :D

19 or less days, are there any tricks to make that not seem like an eternity?

How about.. not worrying about it. It works wonders for your health and your sanity! :D

Oh the wait! A reminder of December for me. It was a good surprise to get it a few days earlier though.

I received mine on the .. 18th I think it was of December (my deferral letter, which sucked..) I just came back from visiting my (now ex-girlfriend) and well.. came home to a deferral letter.. On top of that, she was gone for like.. 7 days so that was hell too..

Congrats on Williams, tlak! Wow, what an amazing school. :)

I just, um, got rejected from UCLA. :( Oh well.

Good luck, everyone!

Sorry to hear about UCLA, Calidan. I hear the UCLA application cycle was a massacre this year.

Ugh it was. And a completely random massacre at that.

So are you seriously considering Williams? How "high" is it on your list?

Williams is pretty high up there. On the schools I've been accepted to so far, Williams is tied with Vanderbilt. GU is #1, though.

And re: UCLA, it's not that great a school anyway.

Haha, yeah. Too many people, not enough undergraduate focus, etc etc.

But I think you should definitely hold out for Gtown. I know that after working so much for it, the right thing will happen in the end for you. :)

UCLA<Georgetown
(no offense to UCLAers,lol)
