<p>Squiggle is right. When i was rejected from dartmouth i didn't think i could fall in love with another school and I have fallen in love with several. it just takes a little time looking at other college brochures and websites that you applied to. you find a perk in every school!!! best of luck on your future endevors.</p>

<p>i totally disagree. If BU is your first choice, as in your school, general studies is just an easy way to get all the annoying mandatory liberal arts credits out of the way so you can focus on your major ONLY for the last two years. Most of the colleges in the United States run this way anyways...everybodys taking the same bull classes, but general studies just gets them over with first.</p>

<p>I understand it may be annoying but i really think its a great opportunity! I felt the same way you did but after talking it over with my college advisor i just thought i should share my new found knowledge. anyways, good luck to everybody!</p>

<p>varr- i was accepted CGS as well- i dont quite agree with you... I have NO IDEA what I want to major in, so it would force me to explore, and from the looks of it, you seem to get your core requirements out of the way... granted, its a LOT of money to be "exploring".... I believe you only need a 2.0 GPA and a reccomendation to continue into one of the other colleges...</p>

<p>For those who applied for merit aid, how did you know that you got the half tuition scholarship and is that need based or merit based? If you get rejected from Trustee, can you still get anything else?</p>
