UGH..so frustrating..what more could they want to show my true interest in the program/health administration..whatever

is it possible SFS might be somehow easier to get into? seems like less got waitlisted/rejected there, while the college was really hit or miss. maybe its just easier to show focus for sfs than to the college

SFS accepted 1,500 people out of I think it was 15,000 applicants. It wasnt easier.. but college confidential shows extremely skewed results of the general populace. you know this website is for those students extremely gung-ho about colleges (i am in that pool too.. i know). So it's just the bias sample that is voluntarily reporting that is making it seem easier, infact, it is harder to get into a specialized school than a general college. Hence the reason a lot of college counselors are a bit hesistant on specialized programs unless the student has a good shot. Take care JWord and goodluck

WAIT,
if i was able to sign into the RSVP thing then I'm in right???
YAYYYYYYYYY
but i havent gotten anything in the mail yet......
argh
good luck everybody!

That's what it sounds like. I had the same question and no one really every told me an answer, but then I got it in the mail yesterday. I think that if you couldn't log in to doesn't necessarily mean that you aren't accepted, but if you could log in you are. So Congrats!!

I got my decision and I was rejected. Was pretty much expecting it so it wasn't a big surprise!
well done everyone who got in! It was really tough! you guys deserve it
daria and majadito u got in right?
daria tell me how columbia goes yeh? I'm going to Barnard.
Is columbia still ur first choice?

Me too. My Georgetown interview was probably the worst out of all my schools...I doubt that's what clinched it, but can't have helped. Congrats to all who got in..I'm still waiting on four more schools.

Ouch. I live barely an hour away in Annapolis suburbs and I didn't get squat. Anyone else without their decision in the area? I am not sure if GU does email decisions, I suppose not (I just checked the papers they sent me, for whatever reason my email was missing). Time to rummage through the house for conspicuous envelopes, perhaps...

nick where else are u waiting from?
i'm sorry bout gtown.. it's ok.. u'll go somewhere great
i'm also waiting for 4 more schools but i don't really care now cus i have my 1st choice already.

Alexander seil didnt u apply to columbia ed?
wat happened with that?
and gtown did send an email acceptance to this girl in singapore. acceptances come before rejections that's wat ive noticed

Other Factors:
IDK!! my interview went great, the lady and I had many things in common.

i dunno if ill go though....I'll have to see their finaid offer.
Good luck to all! Congrats for those who got in and if you didn't, I'm pretty sure you will be happy elsewhere!

STrules7 has it slightly wrong above....that 1,500 number in the letter of acceptance represents all the students in all colleges.

The SFS (all four years) has less than 1500 students in it. Last year they accepted only 300 new SFS students and said that this year they would probably accept about the same number.

Those who go into the SFS were among a very select few! Congrats!

Aw Chris... Sucks so much man...
I'll be hearing from Columbia tomorrow, and I'm way nervous.
Barnard is going to be lucky to have someone with such passion.

The Georgetown Pamphlets say there are 1,300 students in SFS school. . ."SFS is the largest school with 1300 undergraduates. . ." hmmm

regardless.. SFS is a bit tougher to get into than the college because statistics of the students are higher.. but that is true for a lot of specialized schools
