[] major strength/weakness: No strengths or weaknesses
[li] why you think you were accepted/rejected/defered: First deferred, then accepted...I have no idea why. I was qualified, but I didn't think anything in my application would stand out. I was president of Amnesty, an editor of yearbook, and then a few clubs but no positions. I did all clubs all 4 years; also one varsity sport. Nothing national or state-wide, for that matter. Was in area-all state chorus, but I don't think that was the hook. I also sent in an art supp, but it wasn't that great. [/li][/ul]Other Factors: AFS Awards for Excellence and I told them this in a last-minute letter, which I mailed out last Tuesday.

I was really discouraged after the deferral, and I really didn't think I would get in. I'm just so happy because I didn't think a college like Yale would take someone just "ordinary." You know? Like I'm not amazing in any way. But congratulations to all who got accepted! And to those rejected or waitlisted, you are still amazing. I've read the posts before me, and I'm astounded that you guys didn't get in.
