I was rejected. Fun.

UPS Confirmed or you got mail?

I got an email from Amherst.

I was waitlisted. Notified through e-mail.

Congrats, nutcracker. >.<. Good luck.

Thank you. You should have half-congratulated me instead. :(:)
Good luck with the rest. :)

Damn. I got the email as well: Wait-listed(:( )

Fry: I need sympathies not congratulations because i got rejected from everywhere else.

Me too. Waitlisted!!! It seems that many of us are waitlisted!!

Well it seems you guys were actually really right :) because I got accepted. I just got an email that since I'm an international and it will take time for the aid package to reach me, they would like to inform me right now.

So overall I got four rejections ( Princeton, Yale, Cornell, UCLA ), two waitlists ( NYU, Upenn ) and three acceptances ( Columbia SEAS, Amherst ). I got accepted into UC Berkeley too but they put me up for spring semester and no way am I gonna waste a semester just like that.

Are there any current Amherst students here? I would like to know if I should go for Amherst or Columbia because Columbia is an ivy and in NYC too ( always wanted to go there, plus my relatives live there) or Amherst cause it would give me the option of sampling different subjects rather choosing engineering as my field right away for Columbia...

I really want to got to Columbia, but I'm not 100% positive if I REALLY should do engineering.

Columbia Columbia Columbia

Free some space for us

huurmmphh...then I'll just go to Amherst :P

Hey, I got accepted by UCLA and rejected by Amherst. Funny.

^^ I'm not catching the humor there... explain?

ernie H, its because I got rejected from UCLA and got into amherst, so you see those two are totally diff colleges and thus theonecurlyfry and me are probably totally different persons ;)

Got accepted. :) Good timing, too, coming on the back of two back-to-back rejections.

Rejected!

Almost entirely expected, but still a little disappointing.

Congratulations to all the aceptees!

Are all of you who are reporting in just now getting your results via email? Has anyone received snail mail from Amherst yet? Can you please tell us where you live?

Many thanks!

I got rejected via snail mail. I live in CT and got it today. :(

Daughter Accepted. USPS Priority mail-large envelope. Live in Connecticut. No prior email.
