simfish: the HL course is supposed to take 2 years. I took it starting in the beginning of my junior year and I'll be taking the exam this May. If you're a full IB candidate, you have to take all the exams at the same time. If you're just taking the math exam, I don't see why you shouldn't be allowed to take it in May of any year. They give you a certificate, as opposed to an actual diploma. There's 2 people in my class who'll be doing that.

I see. I'm planning on being an IB Diploma candidate for the PE waiver. ;) Although I'll be taking all IB classes anyways so I guess I'll just deal with the CAS requirements.

Also, you say you're taking Further Math. But not you mentioned HL Math. What exactly are you taking? My teachers are reluctant about including Further Math because I've heard that math must be your life if you are to take it. And that isn't really possible with all the other IB requirements.

Maybe I could take multivariable calculus as a supplement: one additional course shouldn't be too bad.

Decision: Accepted
