Official RD Thread--Harvard Class of '11

I remember counting since the new year the days...it's been about 12 weeks since then, and, you know, I think I've finally come to the conclusion in my mind that whatever happens on Thursday will be the best thing for me and the best thing for the world. Guys, what it comes down to is not the numbers. Screw the stats, the essays, the interview, the recs. IT DOESN'T MATTER. What matters now is the integrity of each and every person who applied to Harvard '11, and what's going to separate the men from the boys, the women from the ladies, is if that integrity shown through in you the last 17 or 18 years of your life. And for your sake, I hope to God it did.

Good luck everybody, and please remember to remove the spaces!

Nice little preamble there.

well said.

I for one was joking, but hey

lol... oh well. best of luck to us all..

someone needs to make a new official decision thread by thursday sans the ill-phrased, mostly untrue, mildly sappy intro..

Plus, once again (this is the third time I've noticed it on an Ivy board) the starter of the "official thread" has neglected the fact that there's no DEFERRED status in RD. Just Accepted/Waitlisted/Rejected.

I thought RD only had waitlisted? I didn't know they deferred kids... do they defer them for the next school year's round?

They don't, grad07. The OP just copied the format over without fixing that.

I really think that there should be a standard system on CC on who gets to start the RD/ED threads and at what time those threads should be started.

I personally think it should be started only a few hours prior to decision time, rather than 4 days before. =/

Definitely. Otherwise, they become cluttered with useless posts...

Yeah, like my post right now. lol

Guys, hold on a sec. I did not miss the deferred thing. Actually, I realize people are not deferred in the RD round, but what I meant was people who applied EA and were deferred in December are allowed to post in this thread...there was a question about that in the Yale thread, I believe.

Also...Oasis, is that screen name referring to the band by the same name?? Because that's my favorite band--they're so BA.

For those reading this....if there are any musicians who end up getting in and whats to know more about that aspect of Harvard...feel free to contact me...
Good luck to you guys!
