Whatever, I'm just really happy right now. =)

[ul]Academic:[/ul] SAT I (by section): 2180 (V: 740; M: 700; W: 740)
SAT IIs: French: 720; IIC: 690
ACT: No.
APs: Just 1, AP Calculus, I'm taking it my senior year.
IBs: No.
GPA, Weighted and Unweighted: I had a 3.68 or a 3.7 unweighted.
Rank (if available): Something like 13/70?
Other stats:
[ul]Non-Academic:[/ul]
ECs listed on app: Just a couple. NHS Vice-President and Quiz Bowl.
Job/Work Experience: None.
Essays: I think they were good. My Cornell-specific ones were detailed and expressive, I thought.
Reccs: One told me that it was the best she had written. I had one written by my Greek professor. My other was written by my Physics teacher. He never really said much about it, but I think he likes me.
Interview: Cornell interviews are informal. It went fine. I don't think it affected anything either way.
[ul]Location/Person:[/ul]
Optional Essay Submitted? There was one?
School Type: Public. Crappy.
Ethnicity (optional): I am half-Filipino, half-French. I don't think I'm considered ann URM.
Hooks: Um. I live a college dorm and so I have that experience... I don't know how it rubbed the admissions officers. Other than that, I don't really have much.
Strengths/Weaknesses: I sent in a portfolio of some web design work I've done, which I'd say were good (I am biased, of course). I think getting an A in a hard Ancient Greek college class might have helped, since my GPA/rank aren't the best.

I don't know whether I'll go. I got waitlisted at Dartmouth :-/ I visited Cornell and was a bit iffy about the atmosphere. I need to visit my other schools first.

I'm not sure if visiting the school and talking to the FALCON directors influenced the decision at all, but it certainly made me feel better about it. Also, my application wasn't send in until December 30th, if that is at all helpful to anyone. [/ul]

[] Counselor Rec: I don't know... she basically had me fill out a sheet about myself and I heard she made it out to be 3 pages.
[] Interview (feel and general location): I didn't think it went very well because I stumbled a bit but I was myself and showed my portfolio to my interviewer. the problem was that it had to be with an arch alumni and he had never interviewed anyone before. he was pretty nice though...and it was in his office 3 hours away from house (6 hours, to and from).

General Comments/Congratulations/Venting/Commiserations/etc: Can't wait to go to Cornell and meet all of you! Congratulations to all accepted! To those waitlisted or denied admission, don't let this deter you. Neither of my parents went to a "prestigious" college/university, and both are very successful people. It's not where you go to college that counts, but rather what you do with your education.
