Wait, so will our decision be on the “Application Status” part of the my.american.edu application portal ?

I haven’t receieved any email :(

^same. it doesn’t look good ):

I got the email at 7:17 this morning!!! So excited.
Good luck everyone, I’m sure you’ll get your emails soon :)

me neither. it sucks, but at least we know that we’ll hear by the end of the month. i’m not sure if they have sent out any rejections yet, but if they have i guess this means we at least weren’t in the immediate rejection pile. hahaha.

Don’t despair about the emails. I don’t think all AOs send them…or maybe not to all admitted applicants.

My kid has no email still, even though we got a thick envelope in Friday’s US Mail (in Maryland).

But nothing on the AU portal.

Got an email saying we are accepted, now hoping for the mail with more details. I can’t find any info on the online portal. has anyone found info about acceptance or financial aid on the portal?

When did all the accepted receive their e-mails?

I live in Maryland and haven’t gotten anything yet I’m scared.

I applied to the Global Scholars program, did anyone else ?

My D got an e-mail at 4:17 this morning California time, so the same time as the others. She’s in. 3.75/4.04, 30 ACT, 4 APs and 5 honors, normal ECs and what I thought was a good essay.

Hey guys! I got an email at around 7 this morning (EST) time letting me know I was in and inviting me to a reception in NYC. 4.0 Weighted GPA, 2150 SAT, 30 ACT, lots of ECs, and such. I wouldn’t stress about not getting the email though! With the exception of the Ivies, colleges often vary in their notification times.

Nothing here in NJ in the mail. Whether I was supposed to get the email or not, I’ll never know, because I accidentally unsubscribed from AU’s emails last fall, and even though I asked them to put me back on the list, they never did. ARGH. Just have to attack the mailbox every day, I suppose. It’s not unrealistic for mail to not make it to NJ in a day’s time.

Congrats to everyone who’s heard so far :)

Do you think it may happen in alphabetical order ? My name is near the end of the alphabet… lol.

I got an email at 7:11 this morning informing me of my acceptance. I also received an envelope in the mail this afternoon with all the paperwork that told me about my acceptance into the honors college and a presidential scholarship.
Here is a quick overview of my stats for anyone who is interested:

GPA: 97.5/100 (unweighted) 98.9 (weighted)
SAT: 2100 (superscore)
ACT: 32 (single-sitting)
Rank: 3/250 (Honor Speaker)
Classes: 8 AP’s by the time of graduation
State of residence: NY

Tons of extracurricular activities with 3 leadership positions (2 club presidents and 1 executive board position as well as being an active member of 3 other clubs)

I also received an email this morning telling me I had been accepted, and that my letter is in the mail. I’m sure they vary with the times they send out the emails and letters so don’t worry too much if you haven’t gotten one!
I think everyone here stands a good chance of being admitted, so don’t worry–best of luck to everyone who’s waiting for a decision!:]

So, where is everyone who received an email from? And is it safe to assume that if you didn’t get an email, you shouldn’t anticipate getting a packet this week? Just trying to plan my trips to the mailbox. (:

Accepted!
Got an email around 7am this morning
California
3.4 UW 3.72 W
2090 SAT

Anyone from Texas received an email, phone call or package yet? Jumped the mailman today, but nothing yet… Hard to wait…

My daughter is worried. No email and no envelope and we live in Maryland (although not too close-2 hours away). To the MD folks: Did you also receive an email? Are you very close to D.C? I hope hers is on the way…

I did not receive anything either in Maryland!
