Official Regular Decision Thread!

mommaJ chill out lol he’s fine actually the common app states that if the money george washington gave him wasnt enough he could go to another school so if he wanted to shop around for other schools it’s fine and if he doesnt accept the admission then the person on the waitlist will get a chance to be admitted it’s not that serious rlly!

drama mama D Accepted today in PA but no email prior, try to relax (not easy I Know), stay positive!!

Congratulations to all who have been accepted :D

Paper acceptance for my son, with no advance email.

Merit money, but no honors.

Just because you haven’t heard yet, doesn’t mean anything right? Cause my friend applied to AU and she hasn’t heard anything back yet. Same with a friend from MD and he has great stats.

Accepted Yesterday in Pa with very generous financial aid.
No honors or merit however. 3.7 uw 4.1 w gpa, 8 AP’s, top 5%, 700’s SAT II,

Good Luck to Everyone !! And Congrats for those who got in already!

congrats mylohlily!

For those accepted - did the “application status” page on the website indicate acceptance? Or is your email/snail mail the only way you found out? Thanks

For those who haven’t heard yet, AU is still sending out acceptances. You can check their twitter page (AU Admissions) for more up-to-date details :)

Hey, I’m from PA! Accepted to the University College program and Frederick Douglass scholarship.
3.69 UW/ 4.6 W

My son received his acceptance letter yesterday. No email previously. We’re in PA.

GPA 3.6 UW 3.92 W (both higher now) one of top ranked state public HS
SAT 2160
ACT 32
Many ECs, and awards. NM Commended. Presidential Scholarship 20,000. No honors college, but he was invited to join the University College Program. We don’t know anything about this program, anyone?

I got my acceptance letter today (no e-mail; MD). Dean’s Scholarship ($15,000), which surprised me (but which I’ll happily take!). Now I wish I’d applied for the honors thing just to see what would’ve happened; I’d assumed my GPA was too low.

GPA: 3.2 or 3.4 (my guidance counselor can be unclear)
SATs: 2180 (800, 800, math was 580)
No extra-curriculars except for violin, orchestras, and Model UN. No leadership position(s). Not a great essay, but good recs.

I applied as a prospective International Relations major.

I adore AU’s admissions staff so much right now. I actually, physically, love them.

Hang in there, those of you who’re still waiting! Good luck!

Nothing today in FL still

lanegywn- At American, there is no separate application for the Honors College. The admissions committee just accepts you based on your overall Commonapp. They accept about 15% of applicants.

I don’t know how your parents are going to feel about that, lanegwyn. Also, the guy who did the info session that my family attended was really kind of dorky.

@klpawl: nothing on web site; just U.S. Mail (not even email at my house).

I received my acceptance today (Maryland). It’s unfortunate I was only offered a $10,000 Frederick Douglass Scholarship (There was an application for this scholarship…but I didn’t apply! Somehow, I still received it haha). American was one of my top choices, but I will not be able to attend! :frowning:
Congratulations to everyone else!

YAY I got it today! In Maryland.

Global Scholars Program
Honors Program
Presidential Scholarship: $20,000 per year

(3.90 UW 4.52 W GPA, 2300 SAT)

I’m stoked! American isn’t really one of my top choices but I’m so happy to know I got in somewhere lol.
