Advice:
Just because someone is powerful and well known doesn’t mean that they are the best person to write a recommendation for you. While a prominent member of your community may write a fantastic letter, choosing someone who is just your average person (but holds a true leadership position) can often yield a more personal recommendation that truly reflects your character. I haven’t heard from the committee about my scholarship application yet, but I sent the same type of letter (average person who knows me) to other schools whose admissions counselors gave me the above advice. Good luck to class of 2015 and those still waiting to hear in 2014!

Son got his acceptance letter a few days ago. He was very happy to have been admitted to the school. Anyone else planning on attending an accepted student day?
