I really really want to go to NYU
but i got rejected (EDII)
I have had many dreams about going there and I can picture every detail of my life there.
i have worked my ass of to go there, and now i feel so broken and shattered.
i have no motivation whatsoever now. the news completely killed me.
I have never wanted something so much in my life…and i really wish i can do something about it.
can i call the admission office?..ugh ugh
i hope it was a mistake and i would be receiving big envelops in a couple of days…

i am a pretty decent student and I am super involved in school
four years of ASB, currently the president, and i applied to steinhardt as a communication major for EDII, NHS, CSF, community service +200 hours

@rubyniu

Don’t be too down on yourself. With your GPA, you should get into a very decent school.
If you’re still set on NYU, you can apply to steinhardt as a spring semester transfer applicant. You’d only have to spend one semester at another colleger if yo get accepted as a transfer. Work hard, try to improve your deficiencies. Maybe give the SAT again over the summer or in Fall next year, take part in relevant extra curriculars, get as close to a 4.0 at your other college, and maybe you can be part of the NYU 2015 class.

=)

NYU is my dream school as well, and I’ve been stuck at University of Miami for the last seven months. I’m applying as a transfer to Stern. Steinhardt isn’t as hard to get into as Stern, you’re lucky. You have a higher chance of getting in as a transfer student than me.

Denied from CAS for computer science, deferred to NYU-Poly

Accepted to Villanova under EA…
I dont see why I didnt get in…maybe it’s because Im an asian-american from New Jersey

@giantmidget

NYU means so much to me, and now i feel like i have lost everything.
It hurts even more when all your friends tell you that you are such an amazing person who has super good grades and that you will for sure be accepted. Now i dont even know what to say to them, im really disappointed at myself and depressed at the same time. I know they are my friends, but i feel like they are more excited to hear the news than i am.
I do want to transfer, but the thing is, i really dont like starting anew.
It will be hard to make friends since everyone kinda already know each other.
Its gonna be hard…

I have heard that steinhardt is like the easiest to get in, but i could be wrong.
I had a strong essay and extracurricular, it could just be my SAT…
when would i apply for transferring? like beginning of august?
that means i will have to no time to take the SAT, and im kinda over SAT…

Good luck with transferring to STERN!!! you can do it,
So you are in the class of 2014?
it would be really great that if both of us make it there

@rubyniuIf you do plan on transferring, get aquainted with this page
[Transfer Applicants](<a href=“How to Apply”>How to Apply)

It says Spring transfer (all programs except Stern School of Business and Tisch School of the Arts) November 1st

You’re in luck. It seems that Steinhardt does not have any additional requirements either.

This is a great resource
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/transfer-students/986968-official-nyu-2011-transfer-thread.html</a></p>

You can check out previous years threads, as well as transfer accepted/rejected threads to get an idea of where you need to be in terms of stats.

NYU says that you shouldn’t retake your SAT’s, so I’m not. I got an 1850, which is terrible, I know.

And yeah, class of 2014. Yeah, that’d be great. Good luck, to both of us. =D

One thing I would suggest is leave thoughts of transferring atleast until the summer, until you get accepted elsewhere. You don’t want to mess up your freshmen applications.

Rejected from tisch film

I feel like their decisions are so arbitrary! I did their precollege program worked for their precollege program as an advocate and ambassador, had 2 NYU professor recommendation letters, a decent sat albeit an average gpa, so many ecs and they rejected me. **** you nyu

@nyuhopeful1

I heard pre college programs mean nothing if it was something you would pay to participate.
