airboard, see post #9 - that might help

If my status changed to "The committee is reviewing your application..." on 2/26, does that mean I might be in this Friday's wave?

^i have the same question, though mine changed on 2/28.

OMg...i hope mine comes on the 14th...pleeeeeeeeeease

abcdef- i'm out of town the 20th-28th, so according to him, i should either get it before i leave or after i come back! so i didn't really get anything specific on it- if somehow i get it when i'm gone i'll just apply asap and hope for the best! i really want to live in new/north which is apparently pretty competitive, so i'm hoping i won't have to apply any later than possible though. as for all of you worrying about the early thing, no worries! he in no way inferred that all those who applied early have already heard back- he made it seem like it was just a handful! i applied early technically, and i'm not freaking out yet because what's the point? i'm attempting to avoid all of this theorizing business- just worries me more! it's out of our control, so now that we know some facts, we should all just try to relax and enjoy our spring breaks! operative word there is try :)

As for the small wave coming out on Friday, how small is small? are we talking like 50 acceptances or 300 would you say? Sorry. I know I'm completely overanalyzing!

AHHHAAAA....I was rite!!! the next one is this friday and the one after that is two weeks later...gosh darn i make myself happy lol..i'm not as conceded as i sound rite now promise

cheerchick- 300 sounds much more probable. 50 acceptances wouldn't even warrant a "wave," that's such a tiny percentage of acceptances.

cheerchick- he just told me it'd be rather unlikely, yet still possible, that i'd hear this week. he mentioned that the batch was small, but i have no idea exact number wise. he did tell me they had more applications than any other year- 36,000!- and it was simply not feasible to mail everything out on one day. also, keep in mind that i applied to the thornton school of music, so my unlikelihood of hearing this week may be in part due to that more demanding review, so the batch may not be as small as it seemed to me! best of luck!

I'd think they'd be the leftover Trustee/Presidential candidates (lol presidential candidates... Peter Griffin laugh) and a few regular admits.

So 500-1000? Or maybe even more.

Oh sweet I hope it's that many. Thanks for the info - and good luck to everyone!

well i got my acceptance letter, but i didn't apply in time for the scholarship deadline. but according to what was said, does that mean im still eligible for some sort of scholarship? or is that completely wrong

idk, i applied dec 10, but didn't get pres or trustee scholarship and i have not been rejected or accepted yet. but i was notified about the norman topping student aid fund scholarship

gbv13: have you heard anything from the NTSAF people yet?
that is, if you applied for the scholarship lol.

Thanks southernbelle for your answers. I want New/North too!

yea i did apply, but i haven't heard anything. have u?

nah nothing either......

an9890 u know what i just realized...since they said that the interviews are in like the first week of april, and that u have to be accepted into the school to get the scholarship, does that mean that they have to wait till after we've been notified about our acceptances before they tell us if we're finalists?..and since the next waves are this friday and then two weeks later, does that mean we won't find out for a long time? or maybe they'll tell us before we get our acceptances and that will just mean that we've been accepted...okay im kind of rambling. but hopefully u catch my drift haha sorry if its confusing

I think you're just reading too much into this, dear. Just relax and let it all come to its fateful endings haha.

Ya, I know the wait sucks, but what else can we do? :T

that's strange! I applied for the jan 10 deadline and I got in already.
