Subjective:
Essays: I thought my essays were good--very introspective, emotional, thought-provoking
Teacher Recs: I read two (the ones for admission) and they were awesome! I didn't read the specific Emory Scholars rec though, but my AP U.S. History teacher loved me.
Counselor Rec: I didn't read it but she really liked me. Only downside I can think of is that she's new this year and has a lot of kids to write for.
Interest: Since I live in Atlanta, I've visited campus at least half a dozen times for specific Saturday and Sunday programs, and I was able to check almost all the boxes on the "What interest have you shown" section.
Hook (if any): None that I can think of--I'm decently well-rounded but I don't excel in one specific area.

Location/Person:
State or Country: Georgia
School Type: extremely competitive public school
Ethnicity: white
Gender: female
Other Factors: Um.....National Merit Semifinalist, University of Pennsylvania book award, 2004 Anthem national essay contest semifinalist, AP Scholar with Distinction (5's on World History, U.S. History, AB Calculus, and English Language and a 4 on Chemistry), Georgia Certificate of Merit, and other awards
General Comments: I'm excited to be accepted at another school (I got into Notre Dame early action)! Now I just have to wait to hear from Vanderbilt, Princeton, and Yale.
