<p>Hey wjss, that’s a really enviable choice you have of Harvard v. Rice/Baylor. Although I’d go R/B all the way here’s a forum where there was a pretty passionate argument for both sides. Although it’s 7 years old, when Baylor was ranked a bit higher in US News, it’s still completely valid.</p>

<p>Wjss0806, since you are from Houston, you should give serious consideration to Harvard/Yale and experience a different culture and environment. It sounds like your parents are uncertain that medicine is the right career path for you, and if you decide in a few years that it is, you are not going to have a problem getting into medical school coming from a top Ivy League school.</p>
