Mine does not show any delivery date information.
@anicole45
They have sent the packages, that means it might take time to reach.
But the indications that the package has been sent means that the decisions can be expected today.
So best of luck guys!!!
Do decisions pop up in the portal?
All - they have NOT shipped yet. Label created - awaiting shipment.
If you don’t have one does that mean you’re rejected?
@anicole45 - no one even knows what this package is. So at this time - getting a package or not getting a package means nothing. Guess the results will be out today (hopefully). So just hang in there.
@Batwing99 is the true MVP. Hahahah, find out the old fashioned way- it’s so much more exciting!
“All - they have NOT shipped yet. Label created - awaiting shipment.”
This is important.
I had this experience with other schools. The online tracking systems can merely show that a label has been created. Which means the package hasn’t yet shipped so who knows when it will arrive. Also can mean that not all the labels have yet been prepared and the mailing is being assembled.
Once there’s a confirm that the packages have shipped, then you can maybe start making some assumptions about when actual decisions have been made and actual notifications will occur. Like if the packages ship today, then you could assume that the online notifications will be coming soon – maybe this evening.
So not having a label now doesn’t mean much. But having a label now indicates some kind of positive news coming.
Do they post results in a portal or just by mail?
Called Rice Undergraduate Admissions. They are still saying decisions will be available by April 1st.
I’m pretty sure “by” just means at the latest on April 1st…? So it could be today
I guess those answering the decision release question through the phone will still say April 1st even if the decision has been released. Seems the admissions officers never communicate with them.

For the USPS sent or not sent packages: my theory is that they’re sending them out in order for them to arrive at or around April 1 (snail mail) – I don’t know when the online notifications will appear – but if your USPS doesn’t show a Houston package, it might be because you live in close proximity to Houston so they’ll likely send them out next week. Those who live further away – in order to get the mail at the same time – are being sent now or around this time. Just a theory, but still don’t worry.
or maybe they are the scholarship packages
Does anyone who sees a package from Houston mind sharing the initial of their last name. We are W. Hoping they are going in Alpha order as we don’t see anything with usps.
I believe I read somewhere that the scholarships are included with the acceptance package?
The MyUSPS system will show only mail sent with tracking. Probably these packages are only for people who applied to special programs such as Rice / Baylor. As some people suggested before, probably only for scholarships. So, at this time - everything is pure speculation. No point worrying about it. Hope results are out today.
@AnxiousMom3501 - lastname “S” here.
@lbrunner That is true!
Ty @MedSciGuy ! Good luck!
