Last year decisions came out around 4pm CDT. I really hope decisions are out today!

When did decisions come out last year?
They came out at 4 pm CT on 3/25/16. Which was also 4 pm CDT.
If you are looking for a decision at 4 pm CST today, you will have a long wait. Since that time will never arrive…
Do international students receive acceptance package from rice?
I read that not all colleges send acceptance letters by post.
Are you all finding these notifications in your “package dashboard” or “mail dashboard” on “My USPS”?
We live in Houston. Last name starts with “T.” Nothing in either dashboard for us yet.
My D was invited and attended Rice VISION for URMs. She was told that likely 25-50% of the attendees would receive some sort of merit offer. That’s why I’m guessing it might be early notification for Scholarship awards but I don’t really know.
My son got acceptance letter long after he was notified through the portal during ED round. Maybe this is something new or for scholarship people.
@pipercub60 - under Package Dashboard. But like another poster said, perhaps they don’t send priority mail for local mails.
Decisions always tend to come out on Friday, so I’m guessing it’s today because the 31st would be too late for people to make plans. Other than that, though, I think we should stop speculating. There are too many variables, and we’ll find out for sure soon enough.
I really hope decisions do come today. Will any financial aid information be in the portal or will we have to wait for the package in the mail?
It depends if you have an esther account If they go on break and you don’t have it you will have to wait. My son never got one and had to ask. It was christmas break so he had to wait a bit.
I just did some research during lunch. I have a bracelet I ordered with priority mail that is set to be delivered today that has a tracking number that is NOT on myUSPS. I think if you know you have a package coming, you can assume this is good news, but I don’t think we should be predicting rejections based on this theory yet.

What’s Esther? Can’t you just check your decision through the normal portal

I think the Esther account is for the financial aid. The decision will be posted on the portal.
So here is my input. I was accepted through the ED process back in December. If it’s today it will be up in the portal at 5pm EST or 4PM CT. Esther account is for financial aid. So if you don’t have an Esther accouWhen I got my acceptance through the portal it took a few days for me to get the hard copy through the mail. It was not simultaneous.
Did they notify you when the decisions were up??
Hey guys! Just found the thread of Rice! I’ve emailed Rice and they told me that the decision will be come out by 4/1. So it’s still unsettled I guess. I hope you could all get in! And Rice is also one of my dream school, so wish me good luck too.
