Why do you guys^ think it’ll be Thursday instead of today?
Since you are not missing any documents I would take that email to start an Esther as a very good sign!! 
I did an interview with an alumni when I was applying. Just tell him not to stress too much about it. The interviewer is there to help you. They want to know you as much as possible to report to the admissions committee.
For my interview I actually gave my interviewer a copy of my resume. This allows the interviewer to:
- Find things to talk about you, because that’s the most important thing
- Remember the things about you after the interview when they report back to admissions
Think of it more as a conversation, not an interrogation. I definitely think one of the hardest questions people have trouble answering is: “What can you bring to Rice?” - I’m actually very certain they will ask this question.
But otherwise, just tell him to relax. The interviewer is going to ask plenty of questions, but he/she is not out to get your son. Likewise, if your son has any questions they should ask the interviewer!
@sarangooL I gave my interviewer a copy of my resume and she refused to look at it, stating that “that’s something that only the Admissions Commitee” reviews.
So it’s possible we can hear today at 5 pm est right ?

@baobao7 why does it have to be Thursday? Like I’ve seen many people say it but I don’t understand why it wouldn’t be tomorrow or Wednesday. Why Thursday? Just out of curiosity
I think because Thursday is the 15th which is technically Mid-December
