don't worry, it's fine.

you're allowed to apply ea to schools other than ur ed, as long as it's not single choice early action.

just withdraw all ur other apps after u get in ed and ur good

....................hope we find out soon.....

what's with all these chance threads. There's a whole other forum for that.

In my opinion, it is somewhat hard to get a legit chance since that is such a broad chance thread.

Everyone!!! Check on-line and look for a financial award letter. Click financial aid first. I was just accepted!!!!!!!

I got a letter saying rice is more affordable, that type of letter?........I think everyone got that......

no no no
if you login with the password they emailed you.
look under the financial aid thing
you should see a financial award letter

oh..........Should I have gotten a letter, if I haven't applied for FA yet..?

Good Luck to the ones that still don't know, and congrats to the ones that got accepted........

What if we didn't apply for financial aid?

no, you probably should not have then. I'm sorry, I didnt know that. Well at least everyone who did apply for FA can get there decisions. I guess you have to wait until Monday.

I GOT IN!!!!

FINANCIAL AID LETTER.

i love Rice University!!!!

I don't think I am going to get in at all....I live in Houston :-(

I am pretty sure Rice is just going to be like Brown E.D., Rice is probably going to take the majority of the kids out-of-state that applied ED, and defer the majority of the kids from Texas, to R.D......This way they can have a gaurantee of out-of-state kids in next year's class.......I don't know, its just a thought.........Brown took the majority of its international applicants and defferred its domestic applicants to RD. (I think its because international kids don't have FA guarantee, and domestic applicants can get FA, Idk).....Just a thought.....

Good Luck, to the ones that still don't know, and congratulations to the ones that got accepted (must be extremely relieved lol)...

I got in.

I am still in shock.

What clutch just said has made me so nervous all of a sudden..

Does anyone know if the Financial Aid Award Letter means you are in? My bias says they wouldn't put a package together for each student that applied, and the letter says congrats. The numbers seem pretty specific too! What the hell is going on?

Is there anyone who has applied ED with FA that HAS NOT seen the link to a Financial Reward Letter on their application status page?

It makes sense though, LOL, Think about, why would rice want to "gaurantee" a kid from Texas or Houston will get in E.D., when they can "gaurantee" an out-of-state kid, thats what E.D. is for colleges, a "gauarantee" that a certain applicant will attend that school next fall.....

^^^Rice would obviously want to "gaurantee" more out of state kids, because they want more geographic diversity....

My thoughts are not biased, I didn't apply for FA, so I don't even know my application status....Hoping for the best, preparing for the worst (started working on my other apps)....

pano, did you get the letter? or are you RD?

I hope it means that we are accepted and I bet that Rice U hopes it is the same thing also...

must suck to go and answer hundreds of calls from students that received that letter but were rejected/deferred/waitlisted.

That is not something they want to have to do

pyles what was your SAT score?
