<p>I was wondering if anyone was going to make one for Rice! I applied. It seems like there’s a lot less Rice transfers active on cc this year than the previous years.</p>
<p>Yeah, I applied for this coming year. Something they did last year on the thread was to post stats, like GPA, ACT, and EC’s. I guess i’ll start with mine.
High School GPA: 3.65
ACT: 32, Math:34 SCI:33 Reading:31 English:28
College:3.96
EC’s: Volunteering at a hospital 4months
Cancer Research for approx 9 months with a few presentations
Chem club, Pre-med club

<p>According to [Future</a> Owls](<a href=“Office of Admission | Rice University”>Office of Admission | Rice University) the notification is May 1. Maybe that’s just an approximate?</p>
<p>I called the admissions office this afternoon, and the lady answered May 1. I told her that it was the last Friday in April in both 2012 and 2011, and she said it would be possible to be one or two days earlier.</p>

<p>Here are some of my stats I if anyone is interested:</p>
<p>HS GPA - 3.95
HS Rank - top ten/360
College GPA - 3.85 (large public school)
ACT - 32
Good rec letters. Sent in 3 additional letters even so around 5/6 total
Essays - I feel really good about them. Spent a lot of time on them, really reflective of myself. Talked about my interest in combining engineering across different cultures to have a global impact.
High School ECs - varsity soccer, varsity basketball, varsity baseball. Principal All-State Band. NHS, Spanish NHS, 200 hrs community service
College ECs - engineers without borders, part time job at Rec center, university orchestra
APs - all 4s, US History, US Gov, Eng. Lang.</p>
<p>Coming from out of state so I’m not sure if that helps of hinders my app. I also only applied to Rice and expressed how I know that Rice is the place for me. I believe some of my rec letters from professors even specify Rice in them, but I haven’t read them. Either way good luck to everybody here and hopefully I’ll see you guys at O-Week!</p>
<p>I’m really anxious and I haven’t found any good information to get a feel for what my chances are. I’m feeling rather pessimistic as I don’t want to get my hopes up. Best of luck to everyone! I’ll post my stats if I do get in so other people can find this thread on google and have some ideas.</p>

<p>Its been a long wait. I feel like the decisions are coming today too but around like 5:00</p>

<p>Yeah, it has always been may 1, but the past 2 years, they have emailed the decisions at 1pm on the friday before. I’m sooo nervous right now!!!</p>
