What time did you get the email?

Has anyone else heard anything? Either way?

I haven’t gotten anything. Why must you toy with me Michigan.

Were you early action or regular decision?

I was early action and haven’t gotten anything.

Same with me, and now it’s 7 o’clock and still nothing

April 1, 2013

Dear FoEverhard,

The BBA Admissions Committee at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business has conducted a review of your application for Preferred Admission. You are to be commended on your many academic and personal achievements.

We have received over 1,900 applications from outstanding students that are competing to be selected as one of one hundred Preferred Admission students this fall, thus making for an extremely competitive process. At this time we are unable to offer you a final decision. We will provide a final determination before the end of April.

Sincerely,

Blaire Moody Rideout

Accepted on 3/1 to LSA, after applying on 2/1. REALLY…more waiting…

At least you got an email! Do you have to commit to UMich before getting a Ross decision?

No. I’m already into stern (and money’s no object), so it’s not a big deal either way.

I got the same message about hearing a decision later. Do you think this is Michigan’s problem or is it them deferring me until after they review the regular acceptances (I got accepted EA)? Did anyone get in or rejected today?

Man, I still haven’t gotten anything yet…and I applied EA!!! Is anyone else STILL waiting?

I applied EA and I am still waiting. To the person who posted asking if anyone got in or rejected today, a previous poster seemed to suggest that he got in today.

Me too!! Oh but guys, would you think stern or Ross is better?

I got wait listed by stern, but incase I do get preferred admission, what do you think?
Also, if stern accepts me but Ross pre admit doesn’t, do you think I should take stern?

I’m EA and still waiting, I know someone that got the same “we’ll let you know at the end of April” email, at about 7:15, so I really have no idea what’s going on

Just received an email similar to a previous poster’s. Said unable to reach a final decision and that I’ll be notified by the end of April. Still going to Michigan either way, but that’s aggravating ><

Ok same here. “At this time we are unable to offer you a final decision. We will provide a final determination before the end of April.”

Wow, over 1900 applicants for just 100 spots. crazy

Anyone else, EA, still waiting?

EA, still waiting

My daughter sent her application into Ross in October. It is now five months later and all they can say is we will let you know by the end of April. Really? Is that any way to treat people. After five months, she deserves a yes/no decision so she can make her decision among her alternatives.

Does Ross really expect her to wait until the very end of April and then decide in a matter of days or hours between Ross and her alternatives. By the way, going the LSA route is out because she was accepted direct admit to two other highly respected business schools.

I understand they had 1900 applicants. But according to the Ross website last year there were 1895, so not much change. They should be better prepared to do their job on time. Personally, I think Ross is stringing everyone along to see how many commits/declines they get from their first batch of acceptances.
