Seeing how the fall 2011 semester is coming to an end and the notification date for spring transfers ends in two days, I decided to make this thread for hopeful transfers that are applying for fall 2012. Please post stats of GPAs you assume you will have/already have at the end of the semester as well as credits. Hopefully, we can help each other get rid of a little stress when applying/waiting for a decision. Thanks :P

I applied to Rutgers SAS and Rutgers business school in Newark and in New Brunswick. I have just finished community college today and my gpa is 3.26 and I have 64 credits and will have an associate degree from mccc. They have my high school transcripts and they will get my college transcripts in the next 2 weeks. What are my chances at getting accepted.

I’d say you have a pretty decent chance. I’m pretty sure after 24 completed credits, they don’t look at your high school transcript and only focus on college. Also helps that you’re coming an in-state cc with an associate’s. However, Rutgers NB Business seems kind of a reach since a lot of people that transfer in have an avg. GPA of 3.7+

By the way, could people also estimate how I will do as well? Will have around a 3.2-3.3 GPA for the fall semester with 21 credits. GPA in HS was a 2.6, but hopefully they notice the upward grade trend. Also have joined 2 clubs since entering college. I’ve already applied twice and have been denied both times :(

I’ll be transferring with a 3.4 GPA (I will be applying with 46 credits, 60 including the classes I will be taking in the Spring), and I am getting my associate’s degree in General Science Professional Studies in the summer. What are my chances of getting into NB Business? If NB Business rejects me, will they let me into another program?

I’m transferring with a 3.3. Do you think i’ll get in?

Can you please answer I need to know?

Yeah I am pretty sure new Brunswick business school will be hard to get into. My gpa in high school was not good also and I had a bad start at my community college and my grades improved since then. So I think you do have a chance isaacxhan because of your upward grade trend.

Coolguy how many credits do you have your gpa is good to get you in.

Hi! I’m trying to transfer into Rutgers from Arizona State University. I will be coming in with 60 credits after next semester is complete.

My first semester is a 3.54
Second Semester: 3.53
Third semester (this semester) - 3.06

I’m applying to the Arts and sciences for education. What are my chances of getting in? This semester I didn’t do that well because two of my classes were gen eds that were difficult. I did well in all classes related to my major.

Please let me know!!

hi i am trying to transfer to Rutgers from middlesex cc with 55 credit and 3.09 GPA. i am applying to Rutgers business in New Brunswick, and Newark and SAS what are my chances of getting into these schools. my major is accounting.

Nice thread and nice name bottlepop1991 lol

@PEOPLE TRYING TO GET INTO RBS NEW BRUNSWICK:

You need to have the prerequisites ( financial acct., business stats, calculus, micro¯o econ, etc.)done by spring 2012. You should get an acceptance with a gpa of 3.5+
If your gpa is below 3.0 then your chances are slim.

Just to give an idea. My brother got in as a transfer from NJ cc with all the prereqs done. 60+ transferable credits wih a 3.8 gpa.

I’m transferring from a NJ community college with an associate’s in General Science Professional Studies to Rutgers NB for Fall 2012. Would you guys honestly say that my chances are slim? My GPA is at around a 3.3, and I am afraid I am going to get rejected.

are you trying to get into SAS? you are in

^No I’m trying to get into Business because I have been taking courses that are required for entry to the New Brunswick Business Program. Let’s say the Business program rejects me. Would they still let me into another program then? If I get rejected by a certain program, they’d be glad to put me in a another program (like SAS you said), am I correct? Thank you for your reply.

@yoitzzjasonn

If you can swing 4.0 in the spring as well as finish all the required prereqs, you got a decent chance. Some of my bro’s friend got in with 3.3-3.5 to RBS in NB.

Yes, if you don’t get in, you can go to SAS and do a school to school transfer.

Okay, and one last question. Will NOT taking Calculus affect my chances at all? Because it says it is a required course along with Pre-Calculus but I have not taken both of them and I only have Spring semester remaining … (Can’t fit both, since it’s impossible to take both in one semester). Should I just take pre-calc and not take calc? What do you suggest?

Yes, you need to have calculus I done. I don’t think you’ll get in without completing all of the prereqs.

I’m transfering to rutgers from a community college with only 33 credits done. I have a 3.6 GPA

my high school was 2.5 gpa

will i get into rutgers new brunswick arts and sciences?

@animeking25

yes, you will
