I did slightly better on SAT II Math IC then IIC. Of course, the percentile for IIC is much worse than the percentile I got for IC. I know that colleges will see both scores but seeing that I'm applying early to MIT and it's such a math/science school, would I be better off putting the IC or the IIC on my application?

well most people seem to have got a better writing score than predicted...i though tof something like 630-650 and got 700...
I was dead right in Physics...i had a feeling i wont get an 800 cos i didnt deserve it...worked only on it for a single day...the last day...and yes ended up with a 790
Math 2c 800 just as i expected....

Is it just my over-active imagination, or are the SAT II tests generally easier than the SAT I? The curve seems to be far more generous for most tests, and I was able to get a 780 writing and 800 Spanish with a minimum of preparation. When I took these tests, I did not get the impression that I had done exceedingly well. Has anyone else found that the subject tests are easier than they first appear?

800 writing
750 math ic
690 biology m

I plan on retaking bio. I know I can get a better score.

800 Math IIC
800 Writing
740 Spanish

i'm so happy :):):)

i took a practice test for spanish and got a 650...
nice curve, i guess

Sherwin, based on your SAT II physics score alone, I don't think you have a good chance at either MIT or Caltech. Make sure you retake and get 700+ at least.

i got 720 writing

My other scores from previous adminstrations are 760 Physics, 800 IIC, 750 World History. Should I retake for Stanford EA? i came here like 4 years ago, so is there a possibility that they would be a little more lenient?

800 Writing

so excited!! i finally have a 800 to show off

800 Math IIc
670 Physics -- I knew I should've taken a practice test. :p

I'm doing Writing and retaking Physics in December.

davidrune you have exactly the same scores as me! how wierd

Chem - 800
Math iiC - 800
Writing - 780

800 Math IIC
760 CHem

CHEM WAS HARD
last time was so easy
i wanted 2 get an 800 (should have - being in Chem AP)

anybody have %tiles?

780 us
740 math 1c
620 (?) writing

I don't think they could read my handwriting, lol.

Does MIT even give you a choice? I was pretty sure most of the top math schools require the SAT II Math IIC. Check the MIT application to be sure.

800 Writing

making my grand total:

800 Math IIC
800 Math IC
800 Biology
800 Chemistry
800 American History
and 800 Literature

:)

slothrop: for real? wow thats really good

woww
awakenedream, did you finally get your scores?

I was wondering...
I did alright on the sat 2 I took..getting in the lowish 700s, but was hoping for higher.
Last year I got a 5 easily on the AP test for the same subject and an A in the class.
Despite the fact that many people say that APs are much harder than sat 2s..I can't seem to do as well on the sats. Does anyone else have/did have this problem? Could it just be a time issue? I don't know...what should I do differently next time????

It is a simplicity issue
SAT II is very straightforward, similar to the level required for an honors or a normal class.
AP is very critical thinking, and that higher level of thought can kill time
Just work simple problems and ull b fine
i had the same thing with chem - i am in AP and i have an A, but i only increased 10 pts from what i had in honors

amrik how did u study for math IIc and physics???

What did you get on the SAT I? Congrats on your amazing SAT II scores.
