*Official* SAT I (4/1) Discussion

It was definitely on the harder side.

Math - Last questions were pretty tough.

Reading - Almost ran out of time

Writing - not easy

btw can we discuss the questions?

dont think we can discuss it..

Essay I filled both pages as much as possible because I got an 8/12 last time.

Math was ok I didn't get the one with the 5 circles in the square, had to leave it blank.
Is 0 an integer? For the one about for how many integer values of n is f(x) negative it was 1,2,3 but I didn't know whether to include 0.
I just hope I did better in math than in January.

Writing I got like 4 no errors in a row idk if that was right.

CR wasn't bad I knew all the vocab sometimes the overall concepts of passages are a little ambiguous-hard to know if you got it wrong.

yea 0 is an integer

and I also got like 3 no errors in a row in writing.

(but why can't we discuss it? other countries?)

I think we can. The threads for the January SAT went crazy discussing answers.

That sucks that 0 is an integer.

wait maybe it said positive integers?! idk anybody remember that question?

I'm pretty sure it just said integers..

and yea I was wondering why no one's really discussing the test..

cuz I bet most of the juniors took it today

Ho lord, that SAT today sucked.

CR- Easy. I usually get 790 or 800 on these.
Wr- Ditto above.
Math- I really died on this. I kept on running out of time at the end of the sessions! About one question at the end of each was a guess. That stupid triangle question really got me. I memorized the diagram and was doodling it when I had time at the end of the other sections and STILL couldn't figure it out. I kept on coming up with a perimeter of something like 27 times the square root of 3 divided by 4... So I'm thinking I missed 6ish math questions at least. Not good. Did anyone else think this was insane?

hey..were there two different versions of the sat test??

@aer...yeah there was...some people at my test site were discussing questions that were definetly not on my test...something about rice paddies....meh...

anyway...yeah...i actually thought the math was easy...i think i got the 5 circles question right....the reading wasnt too bad either...some of the vocab in their messed me up though (stupid bombastic...i didnt know this word for the psat and now it comes back to haunt me again!!)

imho...writing was the toughest...i got like 3 no errors nearly back to back in one section...ugh...

all in all...

SAT = teh suckz0rz....

edit: we cant discuss questions on the forum right?...I want to find out some of the answers to a few questions i had difficulty with....just want to make sure that I can ask for about this before getting sued by collegeboard...

the question DEFINITELY asked for the positive integer.
So 0 didn't qualify as opposed to all the other choices ..so that was the answer.

zworld....definitely all intergers...dont argue with me

i thougth math was okay. it was easier than the March one. writing section was okay, too, although i ran out of time when i was writing my essay and did not have time to revise. i thought some of the passages of the CR was...DIFFERENT. just different. weren't they? they were in ..like.. font size 7 and really speculative this time. wasn't that bad, though. just a bit surprised.

regurgitatingcow...maybe we are talking about two diff questions? cuz there were at least two diff versions of SAT today. my friend and i had completely diff. passages and diff math problems. so maybe I'm confused about that. but i had a problem where 0 was the answer because it ultimately was the only choice that was not a positive integer. no offense, whoever you are :-)

first clarify
are you talking about the (2n + 1)(3n-11) one?

oh, definitely not lol
i looked at the Sherlock HOlmes discussion u created..and I didn't have that passage at all. So we've definitely taken two different versions!

ok...sorry then...what was the one you were talking about then?

did anyone get the experimental writing section? any idea on which one was the real one?

wait the one where u guys got 3 no errors in a row, do u remember any questions from that section? cause i did NOT get 3 no errors in a row. rather, i got like 3 no errors alternating.
